Mine is more London based as I reside here and am influnced by the Standard and the local pub chat.
It is sad that we are unable to honestly put our MVPs into this team (such as Torres, Gerrard, Johnson, Msch) but our back four has been disrupted by injury so our defenders have not performed to the usual high standard, though they have done well considering all the set backs we have had
Torres is not included because he has unfortunately been hampered by injury..if he has a fully fit season then he is the top striker in the world and is the first on any fantasy team sheet!
Gerrard has found it difficult at times, though he is peaking now and doing well, he has found it tough going this season, perhaps the pressure of fan expectation combined with the lack of his strike partner (Torres) has impacted on his play. BUT he is performing at a higher level now...good news for England and bad news for Madrid!!!
Mascherano has clearly been unsettled by specualtion concerning him and the unsettled back four.
Kuyt, in my view, has suffered burn-out...he needs a break...sadly he will not get the break as he will be a key man in the World Cup
Maxi and Aquilani are clearly skilled enough to get into the all star team but they have not played enough matches to intellectually justify a spot.
Well done to Reina and Lucas
