To those saying about the fall in quality with regards to players that we're linked with - to be fair, we were linked with Taylor when Rafa was in charge.

I wouldn't surprised to see this happen, actually. I can't really say much because I barely know anything about him. I just remember thinking that he was pretty decent when Newcastle were in the PL. And I remember cheering one time when he scored against Arsenal - if memory serves me right - that game ended 1-1.

According to the Sunday Mirror and other internet sources Roy wants him as his first signing and wants to build his defence around him. Does Roy realise he is managing Liverpool now and not Fulham.

Skrtel Agger and Carragher are much better and Ayala is going to be better. Taylor has gone back a long way in the last couple of seasons and I would be very disappointed with this signing.

Unfair on Roy that ,we have been linked with him for years

The fall in quality players we've been linked with is not worrying, considering in the past we have been linked with very unrealistic targets such as Villa, Silva, Mata etc...

Doesn't that just show what the yanks have done to the club, it is unrealistic for us to be linked to someone Manchester City have been able to sign.

Injured for three months in a pre-season friendly.

Highly unlikely for us to splash some cash on a player who'll be out for 3 months.

This rumour was dead in the water the moment we signed Wilson, though a good player nonetheless if not a spectacular one though.

      Not going to happen.
