Missed the whole of the 2nd half sadly and both the goals obviously.

Would anyone like to tell me how we did if they didn't mind?

      Very steady match all round.

Reina was there too when called on, and I thought Insua had a very good game.

So from now onward, its one win at a time! We can still close the gap.

a convincing performance in the 2nd half from all the lads
Yossi MOTM for me too ,he is our squad man at the moment and as long as he keeps this form he should start every game  if he is fit IMO

Very assured performance, even if it was only in the second half.  We must move onwards and upwards from this and make sure we show the same level of commitment as we did in the second half for the full 90 mins in our remaining games.

Very pleased for Ngog, thought he played well tonight and that goal infront of the Kop might be just what he needs, ok he doesn't have the most assured of touches of times but he did show some very promising touches and movement tonight.  Again Yossi was outstanding (still can't understand why he was dropped for the Boro game), and Gerrard got a good workout, can only be good for his fitness levels and sharpness, especially with 2 huge games coming up next.

Chuffed that Insua got the nod tonight too, lets hope he's done enough to keep his place.

The only negative for me was the crowd, again, I know the fans feed of the team performance but even at 2 up they really didn't seem as vocal as we know they can be, must have been cos I wasn't there - still gutted I couldn't make the match, especially when i've still got 2 tickets sat in my cupboard.

Anyhow, 3 points, well deserved and a better performance than that of late, so well done lads.

      Me too  ;D

Thrilled with tonights performance, and am glad to say my worries over N'gog are fading, I know its his first PL goal, but he put an excellent performance in regardless.  Hats off to Yossi, another outstanding game and MOTM deservedly so.    Bring on Real Madrid  ;)

3 vital points in the bag thank God.

Pre match I asked that the lads go straight for it fire in shots from all over and they did. I thought overall it was a very decent performance.

Delighted for N'Gog who worked hard but he was surpassed by Yossi, class again tonight. Masch didnt do much wrong at right back did he? Come on Rafa lets stay 4 4 2 for the remainder of the league lets go for it.

Lets hope the geordies stand up for themselves tomorrow and get some kind of result. If we go to old trafford 5 points behind and win were still in with a shout but Newcastle do need to do something but we done our part tonight

Great cross to Gerrard from Riera on N'Gog's goal.

      Poor from Fulop.

Did Riera play well like I guessed?

Yeah, much better than he has been doing recently. Came close with a few efforts and then set up the header for Gerrard which N'gog scored from :).

Yeah, Xabi improved a lot in the second half, kept things ticking in midfield and won his individual battles.

Mascherano was great at right back, let nothing past him and always made himself available in attack. His performance showed that we could ask him to do that job again, I thought he played really well there tonight.

And Yossi, well, he was once again brilliant. Simple as that. MOTM for me.

Totally agree, but when you've got to stick one of your outstanding midfielders out there to fill a hole it just shows one area we definately need to stregthen in the summer.

Well done though Masch, great job tonight.

I missed most of the 2nd half cos the streams were sh*t.  Is it me or do they seem to be bad for mid-week games all the time??  I'll have to tape the match on LFC TV tonight and watch it tomorrow.

Good 3 points but I'm not getting carried away. Some positive signs though as in formation. 10 more 3 pointers to go.
