I'd prefer Aquilani on his own, and then give Spearing and Lucas more of a chance. Then use the money to sign a winger!That would be perfect for me.

Its not a time to be sad, its not ideal coming up to the start of the season, but maybe we should be more optimistic.. we didn't lose the prem last year from losing games, it was from drawing too many! If we can add an extra 20 goals from somewhere maybe another 15 assists, all will be good I'm sure.

Maybe Madrid have asked to keep it confidential just a thought they might not want people knowing they agreed to Rafa's valuation as that just tells all clubs if they are interested in your player  and want him badly enough hold out and they will pay.

Or maybe Rafa wants to keep it confidential so when pursuing our transfer targets clubs can not hold us to ransom ?

The confidentiality of the deal does not suggest we have accepted anything less than Rafa wanted IMO

Which if to be believed Rafa got his 35 million euros and 5 million euro's in add ons as 40 million euro's is 34 million pounds. Well in Rafa.
