Thought I'd just throw up a scenario here that wouldn't happen very often but still comes up occasionally(I know someone that this happened to). Say you support a team for the sake of the argument it's hull city but say a relative signed for someone else lets say stoke would it then be alright to support two teams? if not what do you do?

      No I still don't think it's right.

If in twenty years my nephew was to sign for Hull then I still wouldn't care if Hull won lost or drew. I'd obviously like him to do well but I wouldn't be heart broken if Hull lost and I wouldn't support them.

Specific example, but I agree with DLS.

Wanting your family to do well has nothing to do with the teams performance. In this version, DLS's nephew could play a blinder but Hull lose, just as well as he could play terribly and Hull win.

I'm a Liverpool fan first and formost, but I have a soft spot for Peterborough for a few years, good to see them climbing up the leagues.

Prescot Cables, for instance, aren't a million miles away from me now - and while I don't follow them - I'd be pleased if they got to the FA Cup 3rd Round or something.

And then you'd be there, on the bandwagon, taking tickets away from proper fans.

I'm Liverpool fan, however my wife is a Millwall supporter so as she has taken to Liverpool I have taken to Millwall.

      But my religion is Liverpool

I support 2 clubs. Barrow and LFC.

I support Barrow because it's my hometown team, no one has really brought me up to support them, so I've chosen that path on my own. However, this is only in addition to me being an LFC fan from a very early age, as I was brought up to be one. I go to Barrow games week in, week out. I watch all but very few Liverpool games on TV/Internet streams. I am of the opinion that this is perfectly fine.

      Barrow??? You scumbag :D

I have been following Liverpool for nearly 21 years. I also follow my national team and my local LOI team Drogheda United. I see nothing wrong with this at all. I love my football.

I completely disagree with fans who follow another team in Europe simply becuase they are English.  A lad i work with wanted the M?ncs to win, i argued that as he was a Brummie fan he wouldnt want Villa to win in Europe.  How could you even think of wanting them sour faced ?ank?rs to win anything?

Wow, this is a heated debate. Liverpool is my religion however i would keep a wee eye on Rangers. (Im from northern ireland) When we played rangers last summer i couldnt care less about them to be honest!
As for the OOT things, would it mean the Lisbon lions of celtic be more worthy euro champs than the OOT liverpool players AND managers throughout our history, right from the Macs in the early days upto and including 2005?

If i was to support my local team fanatically, id be supporting a crap team full of farm boys and myself! By virtue of where i was born.

I have to admit my father lived in liverpool from 61 to 72 and i have been brought up as a red since birth. I guess either way if people were born in a different city or had different reasons for supporting a club they may not support the reds.

We all have reasons why we support Liverpool, by birth, family or tradition. However we take it into adulthood and for life!

One thing somes it up for me, where ever your from, YOU'LL NEVER WALK ALONE!!

I start supporting Borussia Dortmund, because this was the only team i liked in the German Bundesliga. It was around 1996. Then in 2001 i start to support the Reds. They played the Uefa Cup Finale in Dortmund this was the way i became a Red :-P. For me it is normal to support two teams. I know that both teams will never play against each other, Dortmund is not a big side in Europa. But most of you people are English, so i can understand you.
