      Kaka joins Real Madrid
      Jun 02, 2009 07:51:21 pm
It has just been announced on Sky Sports News that Kaka has signed for Real Madrid for a fee of over 65m euros.

      Milan confirm Kaka Real deal

AC Milan have confirmed the sale of Kaka to Real Madrid in what is expected to be a world-record transfer.

The Brazil superstar was due to reveal the move at a press conference on Tuesday after undergoing a medical in his homeland.

However, the Serie A side have moved first to confirm the departure of the 27-year-old for the Bernabeu who has signed a six-year contract.

A statement on the Milan website read: "From next season, Kaka will play at Real Madrid.

"AC Milan thanked the man and the great champion Kaka for his decisive contribution to the many victories achieved in the six years of his commitment

"The loss of technique, while serious, can be remedied.

"It will be very difficult to fill the void that will be left by Kak, a shining example of professionalism, commitment and professionalism.

"AC Milan, (according to) the wishes of the managers, players and supporters of the Rossoneri, offer him the most cordial and affectionate wishes for the continuation of his sporting career."

Madrid also confirmed the deal on their website. "Kaka is a player of Real Madrid after an agreement with AC Milan," a statement read.

"The Brazilian footballer has now successfully passed all medical tests. Kaka has signed a contract for the next six seasons with Real Madrid."

The 27-year-old is currently with the Brazilian side on international duty.

Brazil face Paraguay in a World Cup qualifier on Wednesday after beating Uruguay 4-0 over the weekend.

Yeah I can't find any evidence of this either.

Only story I can found regarding Real is their appointing of Manuel Pellegrini as head coach to replace Juande Ramos.

They're claiming it's reports from a Madrid radio station - still not totally 100% certain.

Are you sure you dont mean that they've made an offer (I know its from talkaloadofbull.com but its still an article).

Kaka Spokesman Confirms Real Madrid Offer

Spokesman for Milan star Kaka, Diogo Kotscho, has confirmed that Real Madrid have tabled an offer for the Brazilian star.

Speculation has been building up all day about a possible transfer after it was reported that Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani was in Madrid with Kaka’s father-and-agent Bosco Leite.

Kotscho has now revealed that Real Madrid have made a bid for Kaka.

"The offer of Real is significant, but lower than that made by Manchester City, who offered more than €100m," he stated.

“However, there is no agreement yet.”

Meanwhile, it has also been confirmed by Ansa that Galliani is indeed in Madrid as a guest of Real Madrid president Florentino Perez at his election party.

The size of Madrid’s offer is a source of speculation, but Tuttosport are claiming that the Blancos have offered around €50m, plus Arjen Robben and Wesley Sneijder.

Don't know how reliable the source is but...

      Kaka signs for Real Madrid

MADRID (AFP) — Brazilian playmaker Kaka has signed for Real Madrid from AC Milan in a 65-million-euro deal, Spanish radio station Cadena Ser reported Tuesday.

Newly-installed Real president Florentino Perez sealed the deal with AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani and Bosco Leite, Kaka's father and agent, Cadena Ser said.

Kaka, currently in Brazil with the national team ahead of a World Cup qualifier against Uruguay, will sign up for five years and a salary worth nine million euros a year, it added.

When they City bid was higher I think they were referring to the one that they made in Jan and that it's not a new offer.

City can't afford it after buying Barry ;P

Just found this on Setanta website for all you lot without Sky.

Brazil superstar Kaka has completed his move to Real Madrid for €65 million according to a Spanish radio station.

Notorious radio station Cadena Ser, which announced the switch of Zinedine Zidane from Juventus to Madrid, claims the Milan playmaker has signed a five-year deal.

Kaka will become the first signing of returning president Florentino Perez at Madrid, and the deal will become official on completion of medical tests after the former World Footballer of the Year returns from international duty.

Earlier on Tuesday it was reported that Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani was in Madrid to discuss a deal, and now Kaka’s agent has confirmed that an offer had been made.

"The offer of Real is significant, but lower than that made by Manchester City, who offered more than €100m," revealed agent Diogo Kotscho.

That deal has now been confirmed by Milan president Silvio Berlusconi, who conceded that Madrid were offering sums of money that the Italians simply could not match.

Kaka will be paid €9 million per year for five years, and receive half of his marketing rights during his stay at El Santiago Bernabeu.

It's a lot of money! Is he worth that amount? I Know he is good but that good, and where do Madrid get that sort of money? espically times like now.

He hasn't signed for them, far from it. All that has happened is that a deal is in place with Milan and his representative has been in Spain.

Suggest listening to the Balague Interview, clears up all confusion.

Interesting price.  Weren't Man City going to pay double that?

Fair play to Kaka for going to a proper team though I suppose.

As if we didn't know already - but there is way too much money knocking round in football now.  Going to be funny, yet also scary, when the bubble bursts. Which it will.

I was as surprised as anyone  when i heard 'and the astonishing news coming out of Madrid is that AC Milan and Real have agreed a deal for Kaka' and i posted it straight away to let everyone know. Sorry people , I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN BETTER. They are now saying they have not done a deal and that their president is in Madrid for a dinner. Somethings up, but we'll see hey. Fu*kin Spanish Presidents! :f_steam:

Better Real Madrid than Chelsea who of coarse would be linked to him since the new manager is very close with Kaka.

Breaking News: Kaka, His Agent & Milan Have Agreed To World Record-Breaking Real Madrid Transfer - Sid Lowe
The Madrid-based British journalist believes that a deal is in place for Kaka to join Real Madrid from Milan...
      3 Jun 2009 13:41:54
Madrid-based British journalist Sid Lowe has claimed that a deal is already in place which will see Kaka join Real Madrid from Milan for a world record-breaking fee this summer.

The Brazil international, it is claimed, could join Los Blancos for a staggering €65 million (£56m), smashing the previous world record of €55m (£47.3m) held since 2001 when Zinedine Zidane moved from Juventus to the Santiago Bernabeu.

"The deal is in place,"Lowe told Sky Sports News.

"There's an agreement between Real Madrid and AC Milan and of course between Real Madrid and the player, and perhaps just as importantly, Real Madrid and the father and agent, Bosco Leite, who was one of the stumbling blocks yesterday, because there was a bit of an argument over the size of his commission.

"What won't happen yet at least is for it to be formally announced. AC Milan and Real Madrid have discussed this; they want it to be discussed at the back end of this week or early next week.

"It appears the figures in the region of €64-65 million, although there are sources from the other side of the negotiations, with Chelsea trying to get involved, that the fee could actually be nine or ten million Euros higher than that.

Asked how Florentino Perez might have progressed so well with the negotiations, Lowe repled, "In the first instance he has a very good relationship with Adriano Galliani.

"They met at at the offices of Florentino's company, ACS, in Madrid, and went through negotiations.

"During his last time at Real Madrid he developed relationships with all the biggest clubs across Europe.

"The other factor is that he's running a club that players still want to go to, despite the fact Real Madrid have been slightly chaotic over the last five or six years."

Kaka recently released a statement affirming his desire to stay with the Rossoneri, but Lowe believes this was just a tactic to buy himself some breathing space.

"Nothing's really changed, what's changed is that we're now aware that Kaka was maybe trying to get himself peace," Lowe remarked.

"He didn't really care what he said, he just wanted to get people off his back.

"There was a very interesting comment from Jorge Valdano, the new director general of Real Madrid, saying 'at this time of year, you have to be very, very carfeul what people say. Don't believe what people tell you, and by that I include myself as well'."

Lowe also stated that the chances that Chelsea may steal in and take Kaka to Stamford Bridge are very slim.

"I think that's very unlikely," Lowe stated.

"My understanding is that not only are Real Madrid very confident the deal is almost done, but also privately that Chelsea have pretty much thrown in the towel.

"They believe that it's too late, they believe that Kaka wants to join Real Madrid not Chelsea, and they believe they won't get him."

One thing I will say that is sort of off topic is that I am still surprised that in this day and age with the money clubs got that the transfer record still stood for like 8 years though I guess Kaka will be the new standard

      Chelsea Launch Kaka Bid
Chelsea have made an astonishing £73.5million bid for AC Milan superstar Kaka, according to Sky Sports News sources.

The brilliant Brazilian, widely regarded as one of the finest players on the planet, was targeted by Manchester City in the winter transfer window but elected to remain with the Serie A giants.

Kaka went on record as recently as Tuesday to insist that he was happy with the Rossoneri and had no plans to move on this summer.

But further speculation emerged that Real Madrid were planning a swoop following Florentino Perez's appointment as president, with the returning supremo eager to make another 'Galactico' signing.

And Sky Sports News sources now understand that Chelsea have tabled a bid which trumps the reported offer of £56million from Santiago Bernabeu.

Former AC Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti was installed as the new Blues manager on Monday and he could now be set to link up again with the talented playmaker.

Chelsea's £73.5million bid is reported to be backed up by an offer of £10million-a-year in wages after tax for Kaka in a bid to lure him to Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea wont get him regardless of how much they offer. The main fact for this being that they already had Kaka once. Before Kaka went to Milan he had a medical at Chelsea and agreed to join them but then he found out that they were planning to loan him out to some russian team so he rejected them and went to Milan. Also Madrid can offer much more than Chelsea because they can make a large chunk of that money back in pre-season by going to Japan or China as well as the shirt sales and promotions would be massive.

But to be honest i dont think he will leave Milan, it's his club like Liverpool is Gerrard's.

Chelsea have categorically denied making an audacious £73.5million offer for AC Milan playmaker Kaka.

Sky Sports News sources understand that the world record bid has been tabled in an attempt to bring the gifted Brazil international to Stamford Bridge.

The package is reported to include wages of £10million a year after tax, even more than Manchester City were prepared to offer during their failed swoop during the winter transfer window.

Carlo Ancelotti's appointment as Chelsea manager on Monday has only served to heighten suggestions that he could be prepared to raid his former club as aims to bring the UEFA Champions League trophy to the club.

But the Blues have moved to quash the fervent speculation that they were prepared to break the bank to ensure one of the finest players on the planet could be on his way to West London in the coming days.

      Totally untrue

A statement on the club's official website read: "We have never made an offer to AC Milan for Kaka and therefore not one at this extraordinary level.

"As a consequence we have not discussed a salary with the player wither. Any reports to the contrary are totally untrue."

Kaka's future has been thrown into doubt despite continued claims from the player that he is happy with the Rossoneri and is not looking to move on.

Real Madrid were reported to have tabled a £56million bid for the gifted playmaker following Florentino Perez's return as president at Santiago Bernabeu.

Milan owner Silvio Berlusconi has now admitted that he will hold talks with Kaka, who is currently on international duty, over his future at the start of next week.

"I will talk with Kaka next Monday and on Monday I will be able to reveal the decision," he told Italian TV.

"It is early to think about what happens next."

AC Milan general manager Adriano Galliani insists Real Madrid are the only side in the running for Kaka.

The Brazilian playmaker has become the subject of much transfer talk of late, with Real and Chelsea linked with record-breaking approaches.

The Spanish outfit are believed to have made the first move, with an agreement already reported to be in place.

Milan have denied that a deal is that clear-cut, but appear resigned to losing their star turn.

Galliani admits the Rossoneri may be forced into a sale for economical reasons, but insists an agreement will only be reached with Real - not Chelsea.

"Ricky didn't want to go to Man City (in January), instead he wanted to go to Madrid," Galliani told Gazzetta dello Sport.

"An agreement with Chelsea could not exist. Kaka goes to Real or he remains at Milan. That is his will and we are doing everything in complete agreement."

He added: "Negotiations (with Real) do exist, but an agreement is not done.
      Motivation

"Kaka has behaved very professionally with us, he has never asked for his deal to be revised or his contract extended.

"He has been here six years and won everything there is to win. But we can't afford to miss out on 70million euros (£60.8m). The motivation behind Kaka's sale would be economical."

Milan supporters will be disappointed to hear of their club's willingness to sell Kaka, but Galliani has assured disgruntled fans that reinforcements will be brought in over the summer.

"I want to put them at ease. We are not reshaping," he said.

"It will not be that we sell Kaka and don't sign anybody. Should Kaka leave, we will bring in a big striker.

"There is a negotiation for Kaka, but none of our other key men are for sale. That includes (Alexandre) Pato, (Andrea) Pirlo and (Clarence) Seedorf."

While admitting that Milan could be in the market for a new frontman in the not too distant future, Galliani has ruled out the possibility of Arsenal's Togolese star Emmanuel Adebayor or Juventus' Brazilian hit-man Amauri arriving at Giuseppe Meazza.

Just imagine how much money are they pumping into a player that they dont need, senseless signing this. Yes I reckon Kaka is a great player but what is the world getting to nowadays? One player for 65 million euros? I could easily have build a squad with that amount of money, and what's more a decent squad.

I'm sure at the moment one player like Kaka cannot make a huge impact than bringing in a few players of top quality, say 20 million euros each. Stupid really, splurging out on unwanted signings, considering the depth they have in their midfield (eg. Sneijder, Gago and the two Diarras).

This is the reason why Real will never win a sh*t. Just flash the cash into people's faces without even thinking of it. Anyway Perez, even before you say something, show me the money and show me the player.

What a waste of money this is, a disgrace to football especially at the recesssion hit time like this. I'm pretty sure Real have more intention to have people endorning Kaka on the back of their shirts than for pure footballing means. Pellegrino revealed as boss and in the first day and then makes a bid for Kaka, when obviously he has no in-depth knowledge of the Real players yet?? Idiots really.

That money could just go a long way in feeding poor people in Africa.. in such recession hit time, I can't see the reason for buying Kaka and certainly am certain they can't see it themselves, except to attract the shirt sales.

      Nearly a done deal.

      TRANSFER TALK
Kaka set to be confirmed as a Real Madrid player
      By Soccernet staff

      June 8, 2009
Brazil international Kaka is expected to be confirmed as a Real Madrid player on Monday after completing a medical.

Kaka, given permission to meet with Real officials between World Cup qualifiers against Uruguay and Paraguay, is believed to have already passed initial tests. His full medical was scheduled to take place a 9am local time, 1pm BST, at the national team's base in Recife.

Unless there are any unexpected problems then Kaka will be confirmed as Real's first signing following the return of Florentino Perez as club president.

The fee is reported to be £56m, which would smash the previous world record of £47 paid to Juventus by Real for Zinedine Zidane in 2001.

Chelsea were linked with an even bigger bid for Kaka last week but that was later denied by all parties.

The playmaker remains desperate to stay at the San Siro but the economic realities of such a huge transfer fee mean Milan are eager to do business in order to provide new boss Leonardo with transfer funds. Ironically, it was Leonardo who helped persuade Kaka to join Milan from São Paulo in 2003.

Dr Jose Luis Runco, on the medical team at Real, told Spanish newspaper AS that club doctor Juan Carlos Hernandez had met with Kaka to put the final touches to the deal.

But Real Madrid will have to wait before they can parade Kaka at the Santiago Bernabeu due to the 27-year-old's commitments with Brazil.

After entertaining Paraguay in Recife on Wednesday, Brazil begin their Confederations Cup campaign against Egypt next Monday and will be in action until June 28 if they make it through the tournament.

      From the link posted by BigRed;

Kaka edges closer to Madrid move

AC Milan playmaker Kaka moved a step closer to joining Real Madrid after undergoing a medical, according to the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF).

The 27-year-old was examined in Recife, where Brazil face Paraguay in a World Cup qualifier on Wednesday.

A CBF statement said: "The Brazilian team's technical staff agreed to a request from Kaka and the directors of Real Madrid and released the player.
"The CBF accepted the role of making the logistical arrangements."

Returning Real president Florentino Perez was previously in charge of the Spanish club from 2000 to 2006 - during the famous Galacticos era that resulted in the spending of large fees to bring the likes of Ronaldo, David Beckham, Luis Figo and Zidane to the club.

Perez's comeback is on the back of a pledge to relaunch another Galacticos era, with Kaka known to be one of his chief targets.

AC Milan can do some serious squad improvement with the amount they are getting for him.

Yeah but they will just buy a load of old players. Wouldn't be surprised if the first thing they do is put an offer in for Beckham.

Yeah, they could put that big bid in for Dossena like that. ;)

      £20 million would do.  :f_whistle:

The new Galactico era has begun, signed a 6 year deal.

As ayrton said, i'm not even jealous, just abit dumbfounded that a bloke who will only offer 2-3 years of his absolute best (if he doesnt get injured etc.) will cost them 56 million pounds or whatever. Stupid, but hey, Madrid are a bunch of clowns.

Would love to see him get hurt or something in a friendly they organise to recoup some of the money in Asia :D

Can't believe he went there and I can't believe Real Madrid.

Most of the players who have gone there end up having their lowest point of their career. Don't want to wish it upon him but oh well... he should know better!

Bravia are going to have to get rid off that commercial they do for their new super whiz LCD TV. You know the one where he is wearing his Milan kit, standing in a crowd watching himself do some tricks.

Sorry the thought just popped into my mind when I saw the commercial last night.  :-\

Oh yes AussieRed, I saw that commercial as well. Always thought it was a boss one, but now with Kaka in a Real shirt I doubt Bravia would want him again, maybe they'll call on Gerrard?

:ontopic: I don't thin Kaka had much of a choice , he wanted to stay at Milan but the only way that Milan would be able to buy new player s is by selling Kaka ...He even said himself that the best option for them was to sell Kaka ...so in a way he did the right thing and really helped the club that he loves .
