SkyBet have dropped the odds on Ribery signing for us from 66/1 to 8/13.

I know it's not necessarily a source but that's a significant jump in odds.

      Something in that perhaps?

Maybe we threw £10m on him joining us when he was 66/1?

Seriously, if Rafa pulled this one out of the bag...

Obviously not going to get to excited by the prospect at the moment though.

      I was thinking that.

The odds do usually tell a decent story but I certainly remember the odds that Rafa was going to be sacked being shortened significantly too so it's not always nailed on.

I have no idea when it comes to odds but Chelseas and Real Madrid's are still better than ours aren't they?

It is strange though that the odds have been cut down so much when he hasn't even really been linked with a move here.

No mate, we've been made odd's on favourite. The odds are shown as real - 8-1 which means if you put £1 on, you'll get £8 back

The odds for us 13-8 means you'd have to put on £8 to win £13, Do the maths and we are odds on :D

We'd have to find about £35million first.

      Nope.

We're clear favourites according to SkyBet.

To put it in Layman's terms, if you put a £13 on him joing Madrid you'd win £117. If you put £13 on him joining us you'd win £21.

      basic method is

      for example

if a odd price is 7/2... u do 7 divide by 2 which is 3.5.. say u wana put fiver on.... its 3.5 (odds) X 5 (stake) = 17.50 plus the 5pound stake it gives u 22.50 for a fiver on 7/2 ... u dnt nessercery need to put on 2 on this bet, u can put anythin on any odds......

as for Franck, sly are taking the piss,,,,,

I wouldnt say no to him tho.... surely we dont have the finances for this transfer UNLESS Bayern n Liverpool have fooled the media for months with the silly price tag and linked with many other players....but i can see this as sly takin the piss.... surely SSN would have a breaking news on this move??

Can't see it though, despite the odds.

We'd have to find about £35million first.

Rafa reckoned we had enough money for another signing without selling anyone.

If we do ship out a bit of deadwood we could get together £10-15 million without too much difficulty. I don't think getting together that much money is out of the question.

That being said, Ribery did say he only wanted to go to Real, so I have trouble believing this. I'd love it to happen though, I do think he'd be a fabulous asset to our team.
