Those commentators couldn't talk enough about Wenger and his record.   Jesus Christ, how about talking about the Match going on in front of them.

What? That he's still wearing a Liverpool jersey? I WANT him to do well, but he's a master of faking his own self out...and that's it.

To close, His arms were not above his head.  I would be pissed if the ref gave a penalty against us like that.

He blocked a shot that would have been on target, he's in the penalty box so it wasn't going to be far away was it? It doesn't matter whether his hands were above or below his head, he handled the ball in the box and his arms were raised.

      Never mind.

No point in feeling too bad about that.

We played well, had some good chances, played some decent football. Plus Aquilani is nearly fit which is a great positive!

theres no need to worry, do we really want to celebrate winning the carling cup? not really haha
we can leave it to the lesser teams such as united to waste their time on it
aquilani looks amazing though he has made my night :)

His hands were raised, which blocked a shot on target. It doesn't matter how close you are to the player, if your hands are clearly raised, that's the same as bringing down a player in the box, it's denying a clear goalscoring opportunity.

That said, we didn't win because the subs came too late. Benayoun had no impact, because he didn't get much time to settle. Also, why take off N'gog, who's having a decent game and leave Babel and Voronin on? Granted, Voro wasn't as bad as he usually is.

good to see Aquilani on the pitch, but more evidence that the majority of the second string just are not up to the job.  I f*cking hate losing!!!! :f_wah:

Very nice play from Aquilani and Kuyt, quite impressed with Degen's attacking abilities spearing and Ngog, our defence was sh*t again once again. I would like to see pacheco rather shitty Vorronin. That's all.

If you got your arms up like that in the box and a shot like that comes in your very much open to concede a penalty.
I didn't get a good look due to the stream, but in replay it looked like his arm was partly up and it hit just at the shoulder????

I'll have to see a good replay, but I dont know if that was a Pen.

There goes another chance of winning a cup  :'(

Who really gives a sh*te about this cup anyways? I don't like seeing Liverpool lose but one less cup to play for when it's a sh*te one like this doesn't bother me greatly.

Had a midterm today so I missed the game, looks like we did ok from what I'm seeing considering the side on the field. Good to see Aquilani came through unscathed and played well.

Not much more to say but *shrug* and look to the real stuff at Fulham this weekend.

On a positive, I'm afraid Aquilani will have poor Lucas having nightmares. He looked fantastic.
