Will be at work at the time so hope I can get a good stream, taping it at home anyways.

Hopefully this is the game where we can start putting our away form back on track.

Don't know much if anything at all about Benfica, so all I can hope is that Rafa has done his homework, sure he would have, and that the lads are mentally prepared and switched on for this match for the whole 95 minutes.

Come on you Redmen, do us proud and give us something nice to take into the 2nd leg. 2 away goals and a clean sheet would do nicely.

Definitely have to be aware of the threat they can pose, some big names in that team, plenty of quality all over the pitch to be fair.

Aimar,Di Maria, Ramires, Cardozo and Saviola, that's a pretty threatening group of players.

When is the Valencia/Athletico match on? Really hope we carry the form of the Sunderland game into this one and have a high tempo passing game. Definite danger from Benfica but the worst thing we could do is invite them on to us. If we go there and impose our game on this I would be confident of winning both legs of this. If not it will be a tough game. There's a Bushido saying. Fear nothing, respect everything . We need to respect the threat they pose but if we let it consume how we set out for the game we will only make it worse. Our attacking threat is what they should be worrying about. Will be interesting this one. Pity I have to work late tonight will probably miss half the game. Anyone know if LFCTV are showing it at midnight?

Benfica will be no pushover and havent been beaten in 25 games. I know the portuguese league isnt great but they are still winning it easily and beat Porto in the cup final 3-0 and didnt even play some of their top players. Really worried about tonight with their attacking options just hope we get an away goal. Having followed Benfica all year they keep the ball well and are lethal up front as well as having a good defense. Their weakness is left back as they dont have a regular starter there. If we get an away goal i will be happy. 2-1 loss i would take now as i feel we will take them at anfield.

Have to say, with the exception of us losing, I think you'll be right mate. With it being a tough away game and all the talk of our dreaded away form, i can't see us really having a go. I reckon we'll play it safe.

Passionately hope I'm wrong though. Really do. We need at least a goal tonight. And we can't afford to isolate our best player.
