Has not got up to speed with the league yet. A couple of times, he was caught out backing off the player running at him, that would be ok in the SPL, but not in the PL. The promising signs are there tho.

Give him a break. His first league start away at West Ham and he's only 19 this year.

From the few appearances ive seen this year i think that he has potential, composed on the ball and good off it, also a very nice fella, I met him after the sparta prague match.

Was poor against  West Ham tbh. Nothing against the guy long term, but don't think he is yet ready (not many are his age)

Against agressive strikers he seems to struggle. Demba Ba and Piquionne both did well out of him in the air. 1 of which leading to the second goal.

He could be the next best thing, but at 19 it is to early to tell, and I think he should be kept for Europa League football this year.

Good move for him to be honest, and would love for this to open up a spot for a new young CB.

Think a few members suggested this originally. Good move for the lad if he gets regular first team football

If it's a chance for him to get some regular first team action, plus the possiblity of CL games, then it's a good idea.

Would have preferred for Danny not to go on loan to Rangers. I think he'd benefit much more if he was sent on loan to a championship club. Yes Rangers are SPL champions but the quality of the league I fear may mean he may not develop as much.

I think with European football with Rangers it would be a good chance for Wilson to get some games under his belt since I doubt he will be playing much this season, especially if we are going to be bringing in another CB.

Think this is a good move really, probably should of loaned him straight back to him for the season just gone.

I don't think SPL over the Championship is going to make a difference, for me they're sort of equal- neither of them are the Premier League. I'm sure he'd rather go Rangers as he'll settle back in there a lot easier than at a Championship club.

Good luck Danny, we'll all be keeping a close eye on you!

Looks like he is looking for a loan deal back to Rangers or anywhere for the season to get some action.

Danny Wilson may seek loan move from Liverpool to boost his international prospects

DANNY Wilson admits he may be forced to consider a loan move away from Liverpool this season in a bid to boost his international career - if he receives any offers.
The 19-year-old made just eight appearances last term following his switch to Anfield from Rangers a year ago. The young defender partnered Gary Caldwell in Scotland's 2-1 win over Denmark on Wednesday night but knows he will need more game time at c

lub level if he hopes to retain a place in manager Craig Levein's plans.

Asked if a loan move could be an option, Wilson said: "It's been mentioned but there have been no offers yet so it's difficult to try to decide what's going to happen. If there are no offers, you can't really do much about it so I'm just working hard and trying to keep a part of things.

"But we've got a lot of players now at Liverpool and it's going to be difficult. There are five centre-backs there and we are all of good quality so the manager has a difficult decision and whatever his decision is, I'll respect that.

"I didn't play enough last season and I wouldn't really like to repeat that next season."

Wilson was linked with a return to Rangers on loan earlier this summer and says he would not rule out another spell at Ibrox if he received the call from Ally McCoist.

He said: "I don't see why not, if the option was there. But the option's not there so it's difficult for me to comment on that.

"I'll consider any team, once the offers come in I'll evaluate them and decide what's best for me and my career."

Wilson was used in an unfamiliar left-back role last season and says he would be more than happy to demonstrate his versatility once again if it meant nailing down a place in Kenny Dalglish's side.

He said: "I'm a centre-back but if the manager decides that he wants me at left-back I can't have any problems with that and I'll do it no problem at all.

"If he wants to put me in goal, I'll go in goal. I'm one of those kind of players who always gives my all for the team wherever I'm chosen to play."

On his national team hopes, Wilson added: "If I'm playing more regularly it's better for me and it's better for the team.

"He (Levein] says he obviously wants me to be playing a bit more regularly and I can fully understand that. I want that myself. He's not said to me that I have to be playing but obviously it helps if I'm out there playing."

Wilson is confident Scotland are in good shape ahead of next month's Euro 2012 qualifiers against the Czech Republic and Lithuania following their first win over the Danes since 1975.

He said: "It was really important to get a good result. We've got some big games coming up and we were just looking for a good result and a good performance. I think the boys delivered on both fronts. We spoke about that in the changing room, how far we have come as a team. This is a good result against a strong Denmark team so hopefully it bodes well for the future."

His stock has fallen a long way since he arrived, can't personally say I've seen him play a good game for us which is a shame. Can see both Wisdom and Kelly passing him in the CB department and Wilson not really getting many games for us again.

In fairness though he is a centre half, the couple of games he started he was played out of position at left back where he didn't look comfortable. A loan move is the best option for him this season to show kenny what he can do. Still only 19 and has plenty of potential so hopefully he can do a good job on loan somewhere.

Was just going to say that.

To be fair to him, he's only started a handful of games at CB in the Europa League if I remember rightly. Played a couple of games at LB and didn't look comfortable.

He's highly rated and only 19. Let's hope he can get some games, be it, at Liverpool or out on loan and show Kenny what he can do.

It's for the best he goes on loan. He will never make it at LFC. He's a good ball player but he's neither quick enough or strong enough (in the air or in the tackle) to play in the EPL.

Hope he can get a start in the Carling Cup away game vs Exeter on 24th Aug. The lad need such a game to build up his confident, better if he play alongside our best CB such as Carra or Dagger.

Not for me. Why risk the result? It's a great chance to get Skrtel back in the mix but i'll be fearful if this lad plays. Of all our younger players he (for me) is one who is definately not up to it. I don't think he'll ever make a Premier League footballer.

Danny strolled through the match tonight.

      Skrtel gave away the penalty.
