Not John Terry but his father.
The father of Chelsea and England defender John Terry has been charged with dealing cocaine.Ted Terry, 55, is due to appear in court on Tuesday to face charges of supplying the class A drug.
Mr Terry was pictured by an undercover newspaper reporter allegedly arranging a deal to supply three grammes of cocaine for £120.
The reporter claimed he was buying the drugs for his boss, and recorded Mr Terry saying: "This is between me and you. Don’t tell him I’m John Terry’s dad."
He was arrested following the incident at a bar in Chafford Hundred, Essex, and has been summoned to Basildon Magistrates Court.
An Essex police spokeswoman said: "A 55-year-old man from Chafford Hundred has been charged with supply of cocaine, a class A drug, and has been bailed to appear before Basildon magistrates on May 13."
Earlier this year John Terry was accused of having an affair with lingerie model Vanessa Perroncel, the ex-partner of England team-mate Wayne Bridge.
In the wake of the allegations the 29-year-old was stripped of the England captaincy.
Terry’s mother, Sue, and mother-in-law, both accepted a caution for shoplifting in Marks & Spencer last year.
