The Official LFC Reds Top 100 Songs of All Time

I've just been looking at the Rolling Stone Top 500 and a lot of people disagree, especially with the positions of some songs. So I thought I would organise our top 100, or 200 or whatever it turns out as and see what the forums music taste is.

I shall organise it. Discuss it in here but send me your top 10 favourite songs of all time by PM and I'll get a chart together. And really think about it. It will probably take me a good few days to think what mine are.

The rules are:

Top 10 favourite songs.
No order necessary.
The songs will be added to the list and when we've got enough in I'll issue our Top 50/100/200, etc.

This will take me a long time to come up with my top ten. I can never decide on a top 3, ask Gow!

Wouldn't even get in my top ten of Liverpool songs.

Good idea, but you know it will takes ages. plus you just know you'll go back over the list and realise there are favourite songs you have left out.

Always has a special place for me cause i got to sing it til my voice went at anfield at our last game against jose manwhore

I reckon this will be a good thing to do in the summer. Gives us a bit of time to draw a short list.

Sent mine, was very difficult to decide, feel like I've left out a lot of good songs out and deciding an order was even harder. Pretty happy with my 10 though, most of them were on the Rolling Stones list and a couple of my personal favorites! Good fun thinking them up.

Got one Top 10 in now, so the rules are set, I've altered the first post. We'll do it over a long period of time as well, so there's no rush. I'll have it as an ongoing thing.

So how are you figuring out the order Joey? How many votes for each song or points or something

Was going to go for number of votes.

We could have a points system where in their numbered Top 10, people's number 1's would be worth more points than their number 2's, and so on.

Top 5, Top 10 and points or simply votes? I'm easy, I can work that out.

I reckon top 10 with points like this:

1) 10 points
2) 8 points
3) 6 points
4) 4 points
5) 2 points
6) through 10) all 1 point each.

EDIT: I actually take that back, i don't think i'd be able to order my top 10. I'll find it tricky enough finding a top 10 atall.

I think a straight votes format will do personally. Whichever way it goes, there will be a lot of songs with the same votes so we can sort something out when it comes down to it.
