Reds Ranked Third In Euro Standings

Liverpool will be ranked as third seeds when next season's Champions League competition gets underway. 
The Reds - beaten finalists in Athens in May and five times winners of the tournament - are ranked behind AC Milan and Barcelona in the standings but will avoid the elite teams in European football if they triumph in their third round qualifier and progress into the group stages.
 
England are the only country to have all of their teams seeded, with Chelsea being named among the top eight sides for the first time. 


Only go's to prove that we are getting back to our once dominence of European football.

Be fair. The rankings are based on performances in Europe over the past five years and they did actually win the tournament more recently than we did.

I understand the third place, like JD explained it's all about victory and progress in Europe, what is surprising and disapointing is to see Chelsea seeded for the first time, be sure that Mourhino will milking it.

Suppose, but 2 Champions League finals in 3 seasons is all gravy...

3rd that's not bad. I suppose we won, Barca won then AC won so it's like that - the most recent winners first. God damn imagine if we'd won.. :'(

I have a feeling that even if we won this years champions league, we would still be at number three as long as that tw*t Gilliard ia at Uefa.
