Maybe we can get some on the field discussion going. Hopeful of a narrow away win with a team of...            Reina, Johnson, Carra, Skrtel, Dagger, Masch, Stevie, Kuyt, Maxi, Jovanovic, Torres.       4-2-3-1 formation.     Give us a lift here lads we need one

Why, it will be grim on Monday night, I'm telling you, anyone going up to Eastlands be prepared for the Man City fans waving cash notes in your face.

Hope we can get a result like!

Tell me about it. I feel ill when I see the features of the hundreds of millions they have spent, in the space of a few seasons, to build a squad that even Chelski cant afford. Then I study up on how we are getting on and have to take solace in the Youth and Reserve teams because the ownership/asset stripping is sickening. On a side note. . . No mention of the Huang bid or any other bid on LFC Now. Must stop watching that propoganda

At this moment, I think I'd take a draw.

No Cole for this game, but we should still be able to put out a strong team, bearing in mind that we'll be leaving for Trabzonspor a couple of days later.

2-1 win to us. Be close or even 1 nil. Torres and gerrard and mascherano and kuyt back into the squad sounds postive, providing all injury free. Jova on the wing nailing all there w*nk players. Want to see silva realise how hard it is playing in prem so get some tough challenges in on him and he will be quiet
I think we can do these, no matter what team they put out they could only just over beat tirsimia (sp) with balotelli who looks injuried. They played a whole half and had no shots on target against a bunch of nobodys. I hope yaya toure flops harder than before

                         Reina

      Johnson   Carra   Skrtel   Kelly

                 Poulsen   Masch

      Kuyt          Gerrard       Jovan

                       Torres

I think that Kuyt vs Silva would be better than Maxi because Kuyt is able to track back and run all game long with Silva not fully settled in the Premier League. It would also mean Johnson has more security and help at right back. We would need somebody tough in the defensive midfield positions and i think Poulsen and Mascherano are 2 of the toughest (Poulsen gave us some examples the other night). No matter who Jovanovic plays against he will win the battle because he is far too strong for them - Sagna is a strong right back and Jovanovic dominated him. Going to need a very good performance from the lads, going to be watching it with a few Man City fan mates and a few Liverpool fan mates - don't fancy being on the negative end of a good old gloat.

We gonna win this. If City plays same as they did with Spurs then we gonna win 0-3. If they have improved then its gonna be close 0-1 or 1-2 to us.

                        Reina                                                                                 Hart

johnson  Carra   skrtel    Agger                                         Richards   Toure    Company   Zabaleta

                           Masch                                                                    De jong       Barry
                 Lucas
                             Stevie                                   V/s                                   Y Toure
      Kuyt                           Jovanovic                                       Milner                                     Silva
                      Nando/ Ngog                                                                         Tevez

I fancy a win 2-1. It will be an intense midfield battle but city have a weakness in midfield in the combination of De jong and Barry coz barry is too slow, De jong lack height-Roy must exploit this because i think the flanks will cancel out with both teams employing hardworking wingers. But the worry for us is if we get caught with Johnson out of position coz Carra is slow and Tevez and Silva loves to exploit spaces. Moreover, I worry is Bolatelli will be too much for our Central defenders coz he is quick, tricky, great control and good shot just like drogba (and we all know that our defenders don't really deal well with Drogba well). But i think we will win coz we will control the midfield and we might see a good from corners because City are not a well-oiled team yet. SO it is the best time to go to Eastland. Go liverpool.

Agree that this would be our best line up (until the news of his loan deal, I had assumed Aquilani would have replaced Cole in the hole!).

I think Poulsen has a bit more flair than Lucas going forward but I just wonder if he's had enough playing time to start in such an important game?

As an eternal optimist I cant see City gelling well with a complete squad overhaul. I think we should take advantage 2-1 to us.

Hope the lads give us a performance to lift the gloom. Id take a point, would love a 1 nil win scrappy goal and be off me head with anything better!!

                 Pepe

      Johnson Skrtel Agger Kelly

      Maxi Stevie Masch Jovanovich

             Kuyt Babel/Ngog

Wouldnt risk Nando from the start and my reason for leaving Jamie out is at grounds like city we will need to keep the ball and Carra is too fond of launching long ball and his pace could also be exposed. Just my opinion

I hope we don't see a repeat of last season where both sides were so afraid of losing that they hardly even bothered venturing over half way.
