This game is just made for the likes of Greek, Srktel, Agger, as with the local boys. someone not afraid to put a good tackle in and hit em where it hurts

You can enjoy the derby whatever the position of your club.

You win and finish the weekend in the bottom half of the table, but your made up to get one over on them again.

It is, from personal experience, the only time of the season when you can shut them up for a few days.

Having said that, I'm always a bag of nerves leading up to and watching it!!
God i love the merseyside derby :D

A win here is vital, we could be bottom if we lose, but more importantly, at the expense of Everton. The players need to get it together and realize how much a win here means to us.

A loss here and it could be the final nail in the coffin for Roy. I'd hope he'd learn from the Blackpool game.

      Reina
      Carragher - Soto - Skrtel - Johnson
Rodriguez - Lucas - Raul Meireles - Cole
      Gerrard
      Kuyt

can see a 1-1 sadly, Cahill and Gerrard.  :(

Id stick ngog up top with kuyt right mate.

I have a feeling we will nick this one. Kuyt to get the winner.

Derby weekend & Film 4 are doing a Star Trek weekend, playing Star Trek's 1 through 10, I'll be as happy as a pig in muck, as long as the result goes our way.

I wouldn't mind losing this if it meant we seen the back of Roy.

Horrible I know, but the sacrifice would be worth it in my opinion.

I reckon it'll look something like this, much to my crushing disappointment.

                                     Reina

      Johnson           Carra            Sotiris          Konchesky

                       Lucas                  Poulsen

      Maxi/Kuyt                                                     Meireles/Cole/Jovanovic
                             Gerrard

N'Gog (Torres will probably still be unfit)

      I think I may cry.

Be as dissapointed as you like, but look at the table and then think about how we've been playing and the fact that we have not looked like improving at all.

I'd sacrifice a loss against the bitters to get rid of Roy for the greater good of the club and I have no shame in saying it.

God, that reminds me of when people were hoping we lost to chelsea last season.

I dont care who we are playing, or what the consequences are for other team- LFC to win- every time!
We need 3 points now more than ever before.

As they say- form goes out the window for a derby!

Losing to the bitters is never okay IMO, and i feel a win would be more down to the players playing their hearts out as they often do for derbies rather than Hodgson. I reckon Hodgsons managerial position won't come down to a win or loss here anyways.

      Bring the dumb-ass pricks on!!!

It wouldnt be the back of Roy though- Blackpool should have been the back of him!

Given the great news we have all wanted for so long I am going to try to be positive .This is probably the best game for us now if we have got any spirit in this team it will have to come to the surface on the 17th October. Looking forward to a great performance and a Gerrard hatrick

Touche ;) But i just mean its never 'acceptable' in my mind. I know where you are coming from, and see your point, but i know if we lose ill be on borderline tears and the last thing on my mind will be 'Oh well at least it may mean Roy leaves' - know what i mean?
