Christian Poulsen (Evian)

Hope he ends up somewhere where he gets games and fits in and is valued by the fan base because as far as I am concerned he has been treated awfully by many of our so called supporters.

Really terrible treatment of a player who has done nothing wrong off the pitch and on the pitch just hasn't fitted in.

I don't think its unfair for fans to criticize players. I feel most people have been respectful when it comes to Christian Poulsen as a person off the pitch, but come on this guy has been one of the worst Liverpool players in the last ten years... we're just being honest, he shouldn't have ever played a game for us. I'll wish him well because he hasn't been anything other than a class act, but I'm not going to hold back on my evaluation of a football player especially one who makes 40 thousand pounds a week doing absolutely nothing

Get your point...BUT i feel the tone of the posts about him have been very unpleasant.
You can state he isn't the right player for us but some of the stuff spewed out has been shockingly embarrassing.

 The sooner this lad goes the better for all. Not because he's not good enough (he isn't, but he isn't on his own), not because he's on big wages (he is, but he isn't alone there either) but because at least when he's gone we can put to bed an episode which has seen a Liverpool player treated worse than I can ever remember by our own fans.

 Terrible shame to see it, and I wish him well wherever he ends up.

No doubt you are right Mick, but just as some players were defended to the death by some even though they were never good enough under a previous manager, players brought in by Hodgson have been seen as fair game almost from the start when they have failed to impress.

I am as guilty as anyone for making jokes about him. I sometimes think we forget that he will have come to Anfield to be a success and he will probably be hugely disappointed that he has failed to impress.  

Not good enough, but as far as I am aware has neither said or done anything questionable off the field while with us.

Skysports.com understands ambitious Ligue 1 new boys Evian are lining up a move to sign Liverpool's out-of-favour midfielder Christian Poulsen.

The Denmark international joined the Reds on a three-year contract from Juventus 12 months ago and was signed by Roy Hodgson.

However, he has struggled to make an impact under Hodgson's successor Kenny Dalglish and has not been involved so far this season.

A return to former club FC Copenhagen was ruled out earlier in the summer, while Poulsen was also linked with a loan move to Espanyol.

Ahead of Wednesday's transfer deadline, the 31-year-old has now emerged as a target for Evian, who are looking to make a splash in the French top flight this season.

Evian have collected five points from their opening four games, and have signed the likes of Cedric Mongongou and Sidney Govou already this summer.
