Wish people would stop being so blinkered when it comes to Kenny Dalglish. Yes he is a great manager, he's a massive fan of the club, and a hero to many. Long term though he isn't going to be at the club that long, I'm not talking 3 or 4 years, I'm talking "The Chosen One", Arsene Wenger or even Ferguson long.

Lets look at facts. FACT: He was hired till the end of the season. FACT: He said he would step down if he wasn't needed.

If the owners want a younger manager who can manage for a long time, then Villas Boas is a likely candidate.

I'd be happy to have Dalglish, however I'd be equally happy with Villas Boas.

I don't know if he did or not, or has signed one or not but I know he has said it's a lie. I also know how FSG works, and they would not let him say a word about it. That's my point. Not that he HASN'T, because he could have. But we won't know through the F***ing media.

I would be shocked if VB or KK didn't get the job. To me it comes down to these 2 and I wouldn't want any other managers tbh. Guardiola and Mourinho are used to have transfer budgets where the sky is the limit, which is why I wouldn't want them here as players would be coming and going constantly.

I hope Kenny is offered the job. If not, and Kenny's agreed to the plan and is happy, then Villas Boas is the ideal replacement : smart, successful, potentially the best in the world someday, and has a respectful class attitude. Guardiola would be good also, but that's not happening. I don't want Mourinho -- yes, he's very successful but he has no class. We do not want a jerk like that representing us to the world.

Updating this...Porto just beat Spartak in Moscow 5-2 to win on aggregate 10-3.    They are now in the Europa League semis against Villarreal.
