Whatever about us not meriting a place in there if teams have already been given a chance to qualify then that should be that. What's the point in even having a qualifying round if that's gonna be the case?

It is far, far more likely that Liverpool would be given that missing Europa League place - but it is impossible to second guess UEFA atm.

They say the highest co-efficient ranking team will be placed in the champions league if they are expelled, which at the moment maybe us but could be Arsenal if they are knocked out tonight.

Agreed.  In any case Spurs finished above us.  But it is true that England are the highest ranking team and thus 6th place in English football were the next candidates to qualify for European football.

But both competitions have already started.
