Why we kept sending those crosses into their box when they have six footer defenders i just can't understand, we should have practiced to shoot more accurately outside their box. Obviously there are still players not good enough for us.

Think the whole midfield was pathetic, Lucas included, but Henderson was far worse, invisible, only showed up to screw things up

Lucas was boss, good tackling, precise passing, we controlled the midfield today, just couldn't finish our chances.

No, we lost 2-0 Fuller and Jones if i remember correctly. We were under the tyranny of Hodgson at the time.

These are the games that every team has over the season. There was lots of positives to take.

It was the best I've seen us play at Stoke. Without the bad luck we could of had 3/4 easily.

We will have to take this on the chin and move on.

The time wasting got on my tits.  The fact that the ref did not add a SINGLE SECOND on for it is an absolute JOKE.

He added 5 minutes mate, if you go by a default 3, that's an extra 2 minutes

Definitely a different story to the game I watched at the Britannia last year.

Really doesn't matter what the story is. Could be looney tunes or batman for all I care. All that matters is the final result, which was the same.

Carragher was a liability for us and he cost us a goal.

We deserved better but you don't always get what you deserve. I can bet you that United or Chelsea would have found a goal from somewhere more times then not. That's the different between us and them IMO. The winning mentality.

It hurts a little to think we could have had Aguero for just a little more then what we paid for the lumberjack Andy Carroll.

I may be the only one but im starting to get over Suarez having a cry everytime the ball doesn't sit up perfectly for him. I know he is passionate but he has a sook every single time.

I though Bellamy did really well even only 20 minutes on the pitch. Adam and Kuyt on the list really funny.

Rightly or wrongly - but the last two goals conceded have been Carragher's fault.

We played a good passing game, that's not how Stoke play.

If you can't remember the Stoke game last season I'm not sure you are in any position to comment on whether today was the 'same old story' or not.

I personally didn't think Lucas was upto his best. As for Adam, one minute he impresses me with a brilliant pass but next minute he gives the ball away cheaply.

I think we lacked inspiration in possession. The whole pass and move thing just wasn't fast and accurate enough. It wasn't untill Henderson and Kuyt went off for Bellamy and Carroll that we turned up the pressure, but that was halfway into the 2nd half, which is just too late. If you're forced to play in possession this much against a team like Stoke then you need to consistently be passing and moving all game, wear the opponent out.

Ah right, I honestly didn't know.

The result (a loss) is the same, but yes, I just said to my son, at least we absolutely battered them for the majority of the match, and dominated possession. A few seasons ago we'd have had about 30% possession, 2 shots on goal, and a lazy Spaniard up front for us

Bit of a reality check i don't see chelsea city or utd losing here. Have to say i despise 4-4-2. Think Adam can struggle in a two in midfield
