Of course there is something strange about it.  When was the last time a club played a friendly in the middle of the season?

Man Utd travelled to Dubai or Qatar two years ago for a friendly and that was during the season.

Nice break away from the English media, chance for Kenny to bring the squad together and let them go on the lash together.

12 years ago.  We played a full strength team in an October friendly - fundraising for the Omagh Bomb disaster.

Funnily enough that was the 18th October as well.

Wouldn't count that as particularly recent

Were we in the UEFA cup that year?

Not a bad idea this, allows recovering players valuable playing time and to shed rustyness,bums on seats for the Gers,also give a taste to a few of the young guns of first team action i'd go with this......

This is bizarre! Seems strange to arrange an away friendly midweek before we play at the weekend. We have a big enough squad to do something like this though.

One of my housemates in my uni home is a Rangers fan, will be good to sit and watch it with him. Good for Adam and Wilson to get a run out at Ibrox again.

They are both a bunch of bigoted racial kunts, especailly those from Ibrox, Chavs are more like your skinheads, dont matter really,the brainless among us have to support someone.

Cheeky bas**rds, some people on that site are sound but the majority are F***ing nobheads. FFS it's a game to benefit their club and for some reason the same nobheads are giving it loads about LFC being sh*te and never having won anything???

I will try and get this, only 25 mins away from Glasgow.

I see there is a 3,500 away allocation, what you think the chances are of these selling out to members are? I didnt renew my membership for 1st stage of season because I couldnt make any of the gmae up till new year.

If necessary it should be easy enough to get a ticket for the Rangers end. Saying that though Rangers friendly with Chelsea was a sell out and their European games the place was hal empty
