Words With Friends (Smartphone / iPhone / Facebook)

Anybody else play this? I know bigv does but he ignored my request for a match.

It's essentially Scrabble for Android phones and iPhones but you can play against other people you know or complete strangers and it doesn't matter which type of phone it is, you can play each other. It's ridiculously addictive and free!

Only downside I've found is that it refuses to let me play certain words that I know are legit, such as Zulu, Somali and Handjob.

I played wordfeud for a few weeks, which is the same kind of game. Loved it for a while, then got bored with it. Wordfeud is a big craze in my country, I was sitting in a café 2 weeks back and everybody was playing it, it was silly.

Somebody's started a game with me under the name KennyDalglish (could be more to the name but the end's cut off). Whoever it is, you need to make first move otherwise after a period of time, it will declare me the winner.

It does count as a win but it's a hollow victory.

Some games go on for days because it's one of those where you can just check it when you have a few minutes to spare... or go for a sh*t.
Other times I'll sit there and complete a game within 2 or 3 hours.

Enjoying this, it's like a more forgiving version of scrabble, as you always have a chance to pull a big scoring word out with the bonuses positioning.  Should help me wile away the time at work a bit.

Just finished this game. Only finished around 20 points behind. Was getting hammered at one point.

Bahrosa handed me my first defeat last night, in 20 games, 411-376.  My losing score would have still been enough to win every other game I've played so far, so I'm not too downhearted.

Maybe a good thing, as I was sh*te.

I don't know what's going on but it came up saying I'd basically beat everybody and when I looked it was because they hadn't taken their turn within the time limit. I can't believe that's the case with everyone I was playing it with so something seems to have gone wrong
