Wigan Athletic 0-0 Liverpool - Post match grumbles

Fanbloodytastic. Who's our attacking coach? Emile Heskey? Need some extra firepower in January. Not quite good enough for getting into CL places just yet.

If one person says it wasnt our day im going to go mad. How many times is it not Man Citys day? We are just F***ing abysmal at scoring and until then we can hope to maybe scrape into the Europa League. How people claim to not wanting to take 4th at the start of the season is beyond me.

Hopeless.

There's only so much you can accept before it gets beyond absurd. A penalty, a one on one, a free header, what else do you F***ing want?

Suarez has lost his first touch but still put in the graft. Adam an absolute stinker. Downing poor. Enrique MOTM.

There's no justice in the world. Simple as that.

I blame the pitch?...the ball?....bogey team?......media attention?.....injury's?......Charley Adam missing a penalty - that one.

When the hell is this going to end?

We created two VERY good chances (Kuyt and Johnson) to score and we missed a penalty. If one of those three chances had gone in, it would have been enough to win.

Wigan may have had shots on goal but none of them were particularly dangerous like ours two.

Same story over and over again. Not getting the results and it's so frustrating because it's not like we're playing badly. To make matters worse, Arsenal, United and City won and once again we failed to capitalise on the potential dropped points from either or both Chelsea and Tottenham tomorrow.

Yet again we have let cannon fodder of the hook. Missed chances, missed a penalty. Only ourselves to blame. Suarez was isolated second half.

Bad result, very bad.

Have to keep faith in the boys but I think we need attackers.

True i thought he looked positive all night why Downing or Hendo couldnt play with the same flare

it was indeed a poor performance...showed how valuable lucas is to our midfield. Adam had a really bad game I thought...we can't afford to miss penalties...and some of his free kicks were also very bad.

Why change the side from Sunday....? Bellamy was on fire......Shelvey played well....??

I think Downing needs to man up and take Luis's ban for him.

Yet more points dropped against a bottom 5 team. This is so not funny anymore.

Defence played well especially Enrique and Skirtl. Pepe gets another clean sheet. Support were great....help me out here....

I've had enough of 'the luck' factor now.

Let's face it, we are not good at finishing. Whether it be headers, one on ones, penalties...we're struggling right now and whether we need more signings or more work on the training ground, something has to change soon.

What's been with Adam's set pieces lately? That's supposed to be one of his best skills, and lately they've been stinkers. And I'm not just saying that because he missed a penalty today. Anyone else notice?

Very poor that, dissapointed we didn't seem to have the guile to do anything special in the final third. We deffinately need a quality playmaker in the center of the park. Our strikers don't get released early enough with any creative through balls. Back to the old usuall. Can't do it against mediocre opposition. Was looking forward to 9 relatively easy points these next 3 matches. Now down to 7, possibly. Says it all when the chear for wigan at the end of a dour draw, sounded more like they'd just won a cup final. Lack of ambition or what. So pissed off now.

Enrique was the best player on the pitch, IMO.

First half of the season we can look back at missed chances,right move on to the next game.

As it stands we are only 4 point from 3rd.

That's an optimisic view - but you have to assume that we are at least 6 points away - I would always have the points over a game in hand but Tottenham could easily win 2 and that puts us 10 points behind 3rd at christmas. 2 points behind chelsea if they lose, 3 or 5 if they get points...

We need a world class finisher and a midfielder that can do what Gerrard or Alonso can do on their day - or what Suarez can do up top. And on that note with an 8 game ban over him it is going to be tougher than ever to get 4th spot...

Ah right! Make our own justice by taking our own very rare chances! Jose MOM for me... skrtel a close second bar a cpl of small mistakes! Adam needs to realise he aint as good a player and let other ppl take the sets! Muppet!
