Reading the Spurs forum they are mostly positive about out passing us and getting a comfortable win.

No sign or shred of respect.

      Let's f**king tw*t em

This court case with Redknapp has just added to my new found dislike of them.

They need a clip around the ear and a sit down there little lad, theres a good boy kind of thing!

In fairness to them, they dont know how to sit back.
It is much more likely that they play attacking football and try to win

I just presume that every team we play against will sit back and defend against us, then hope to nick a goal from a quick break or a set piece

IMO our biggest weakness is when we have to break down defensive team

Thanks you have probably saved me £20

They have been a bogey team the past couple of years. We always seem to play sh*t against them, or they nick some bullshit goal to open the floodgates.

That being said, I'm expecting a win for us. Confidence sky high.

It's a massive game for us. Arguably our biggest of the Premier League season so far. There is A LOT to be gained from winning this. We've done really poorly against Spurs the last few games so this really is the time to set the score straight. The atmosphere from the Anfield faithful I'm sure will be immense. This game really is a crossroads moment for us this season! Let's do it!!

Hope we demolish them, it will be a real test for us and too find out how far we have come as a team over the past few months. 2-1 i'm gonna go for, Suarez to bag one on his return and Carroll to get the other. Come on Redmen! Top 4 finish and 2 domestic trophies would be nice.

People go on about Bale, but if you stop Modric from dropping balls over the top into the wide positions, you'll cut off the majority of Bales supply line.

We need to get tight on their midfielders and push them backwards at every opportunity.

Sounds like a job for "bulldog" Jay....point to Modric...tell him to stay on him like white on rice and that will be that.

I think Bellamy has just had his 5th yellow card against Wolves so he'll not be available.

I don't think yellows count at this stage of the season.

Massive game. We owe these Kunts big time. Let's reverse that scoreline from last time we played them. I'll predict 2-1 to us but hope Suarez get's 4 on his return. Like Carlos said in another thread. Let's Unleash this fella on them.

Anytime we don't have the Ball, get on there arses, chase, harry, run the fookers down and don't give them any space. Hope the crowd is well up for this one from the off till the final whistle.

Time to put a chip in the spud's title aspirations.  Mash them right up, make up for the roasting they gave us earlier this season, whilst we go on to win a pot or two.

      It's 10 yellows now = 2 game ban.

Nothing for 5 yellows from January onwards.

Spurs are susceptible to the counterattack. You can defend deeper and break against Spurs. If this is the plan then play Bellamy, Suarez and Kuyt or Maxi definitely. If this is too much like capitulation, as we are the home team. Then play higher up the pitch and look to keep the ball more. So Hendo, Gerrard, Suarez and Maxi should be in.

      Johnson - Skrtel - Agger - Enrique
      Kuyt - Spearing - Gerrard - Bellamy
                      Carroll - Suarez

I'd go with this too. Henderson, Adam, Downing & Maxi all on the bench can have an impact too.

Tough game, but we should get the win. I expect very high levels of pressing in the midfield and we should be fine. Keep Modric from supplying and put a 1 man mark on him. Suarez should play wherever he feels he can do more damage, behind the big man.
