Obviously a much improved performance needed on Tuesday, time the side bounced back, what better way to do it in a derby game. I would like to see Shelvey given a start, looked so promising when he came back off loan from Blackpool. Main problem as ever need someone to put the ball in the back of the net.

      Reina

      Kelly   Skrtel   Coates   Enrique

      Spearing
      Gerrard     Henderson

      Suarez                      Downing
      Carroll

We need a positive result in this match. Carroll and Downing have been looking better by the match lately, so them not starting yesterday was pretty shocking to me, hopefully they'll make the teamsheet because Carroll provides a sorely missed focal point for our attack and Downing (even though he hasn't showed it much) is capable of more than Maxi and Kuyt at this point.

Good job they like to say that 'form goes out the window' for the derby.

I think we will win 5-0.

2 smashed in penalties and 3 shots that go in off the crossbar.

Charlie Adam with 2 goals and Downing with a hat-trick.

Reading the posts for the Blunderland game, sounds like we were terrible. Didn't see the match or any highlights yet and at this stage am thinking this is not a bad thing. Still, our problem this season hasn't been under-performing in the big games, it's keeping things going in the less prestigious ones. Our home form has been piss poor, but it HAS GOT to end at some stage and why not Tues :)  3-1 to de Reds!!!!!!! SG and Suarez chippin in with a couple and a-n-other poppin in a 3rd (maybe Skyrtel :)    Love seeing the players line up, Red on Blue. CAN'T WAIT !!!!!!!!!!!!

After a shocking performance against Sunderland, I'm hoping the lads come out and put a performance on against Everton.

I hope Johnson comes back so we can get the stability back in the defence (Kelly is good but Johnson is still our best left back IMO). I'd also expect Gerrard, Downing and Carroll to start.

      4-4-2

      25. Reina

      2. Johnson
      37. Skrtel
      16. Coates
      3. Enrique

      18. Kuyt
      14. Henderson
      8. Gerrard (c)
      19. Downing

      7. Suarez
      9. Carroll

      Subs:

      32. Doni
      34. Kelly
      23. Carragher
      20. Spearing
      26. Adam
      11. Maxi
      39. Bellamy

Think this will be a tough game as Everton have picked up some good results lately, but I think we'll win 3-1 with Gerrard, Suarez and Carroll getting the goals!

We need to have fire in our belly's for this. Passion and the level of performance that saw us outplay Arsenal will see an end to the Blueshite (with just a modicum of good finishing, of course).

We've proven time and time again that we've no reason to fear any team much less this lot. If it's even that only Stevie brings his sooting boots to the game, we will tank them... but nothing just happens; the lads need to bust a gut for us here.

      'Mon the Reds.

I think we will win this, I think we will be bang up for it and they will get the frustrations we have had in recent weeks..

For some reason I have a very calm thought about this, think we will win this with relative ease.

And I know how many times we have said this recently but look at the two after this.. QPR and Wigan..

      I'd go with..

                      Pepe
      Johnson Skrtel Carra Enrique

                     Spearing

          Gerrard        Henderson

      Suarez                  Downing

                    Carroll

I think we should go with this formation from here on in myself, try Luis coming off the wide positions, take the burden off him being through the middle, he can rotate with Stewart on the other side and have a bit of a free role, even dropping into the hole and letting Stevie push wide right.. It's more fluid.

      Come on reds..

If Kenny doesn't start Carroll in this game then the Geordie may as well pack his bags now. I don't rate Carroll as being any better than Bendtner but if I paid £35m for him I'd at least give him 9-10 starts in a row to see can he score goals or not. Starting him in the Cup final and then dropping him for the next two games is pointless stuff.

Spearing should play.  Hopefully Gerrard will be fit to start as well.

Adam doesn't deserve to play - if we are going for a central midfield threesome I'd be happy with either Henderson or Shelvey in there - you can't play Henderson on the wing.

Wings are a problem - it appears Maxi has been frozen out - Bellamy and Kuyt are nowhere near as effective when they start as opposed to coming on as subs.

It's exceptionally hard to pick a team at the minute as the fittest players seem to be in the worst form, and our better players seem to be some of the old guard who we know are better used as impact subs.

I'd probably start with a team that enables us to be able to bring Kuyt, Bellamy and Maxi on rather than start with them.

I think we need to be looking toward the future, so Coates ahead of Carra for me even though he looked very shaky against Sunderland.  If we didn't have the NexGen game coming up then I'd like to see Sterling and Suso on the bench, but that won't happen this game.  I'd like to see Shelvey get a 20-30 minute run out to help with his development if possible.

F**k how well they're playing and how sh*t we're playing because it's the Merseyside Derby and current form stands for jack-sh*t.

      This all day.

Its a massive game lets hope the starting XI realise this and we smash them back over the park.

                          Suarez           Carroll

Suarez can't play as a lone forward. Carroll, hopefully takes a couple of men with him when he's in the box so Suarez has more space.

Johnson on the wing ... probably won't happen but if he were to be at RB, have Maxi or Kuyt on I guess.
