A lot of stand out performances tonight, bar a few crosses from Baines which caused a few dodgy moments it was a top performance.

Gerrard and Suarez are already linking up well and it was just brilliant to see Suarez slide that one across goal right at the end.

Hard to stick one on it, Henderson and Downing tucked in side a lot, Downing saw a fair bit of action in the middle.  It was fluid to be honest.

Downing was decent, Henderson on the other hand not really in it tbh.

Thanks jd. Thought spearing did a lot of the donkey work for Gerrard in midfield today. You always have to have a grafter in there allowed Gerrard to get forward as well.

Yeah Spearing was outstanding tonight, think it was his best performance of the season personally, linked up play well, protected the back four and looked to play the attacking pass when needed.

Carroll was awesome tonight, all the team played well everyone tried and closed down. Great performance.

Above all, the team performance was just what we needed.

MOM was obvious so I voted for the next in line...Kelly was awesome tonight, awesome

Stevie G is us though isnt he. And thats a worry. He was our tempo tonight he was a dictator. Same at Sunderland Saturday we were muck he came on and the tempo upped.

Finally fair play Suarez. Needs a goal himself, Stevie put him on a plate and he returns it to set up Stevie for a hat trick.. Brilliant

Him and Bellamy both, what a combo of those two along with Suarez could do for a decade.

I just watched the 1st half, and Kelly was brilliant on it as well. I've already seen the 2nd so he was definitely one of our best performers tonight.

Yes I was going to say this myself. Gerrard really got the benefit from playing along side Spearing rather than Adam (don't want to get into Adam bashing, plenty of that elsewhere) which gave him the freedom to concentrate on tearing the Everton defence a new arse hole.

Hope to see this partnership used a lot more often going forward.
