      ;D

Let's see how this plays out but this lad the type of player we have been searching for; young, strong, creative and he scores goals. Add to that the fact that he fits Brendan's system and we could be onto a winner.

We'll probably get the odd repetitive post syndrome half-wit drift in with their, "could do better" and "average player", take on things but the truth is; Gylfi ticks all the boxes.

I want to see what Corbs has to say about it him before I entertain the thought of Gylfi coming to our Club.  ;)

18 PL games with 7 goals and 5 assists ? Sure why not.

Sorry but the tables too big for me to copy paste so you'll have to pop over there.

Just watch these goals by all players

Gylfi scores two, the first (15 seconds) is good, the second (2 mins 25 secs) is very good.

      Gylfi

      Worth a punt I'd say

haha! I'm sure we'll be in for him if he doesn't sign for swans, and with Rodgers we'll have a pretty good shot. Swans were going to sign him for around 7 million I think, seems a reasonable deal to me...

If we did sign him, where would he fit in the team, staring 11? Or squad player.

Lucas Gerrard Sigurdsson as a midfield three is pretty mouthwatering. For me, he's straight into the first team, above Henderson and Adam. I'm assuming Aquilani doesn't stick around.

Yeah that sounds good but i hope Aquilani will stay as he seems perfect for Rodgers set up.

Lucas, Gerrard and Sigurdsson with Aquilani, Diame and Henderson to rotate with them.

Sell Adam and loan Shelvey and Spearing out.

Noticed Corbally on twitter informing everyone about how average a signing Sigurðsson would be ;D

Wasn't just a purple patch he hit when he arrived at Swansea, has a real air of class about him thats very evident when he plays.

Would absolutely love him here, £6-7 million would be a bargain. That being said, we would still need another signing in CM for me.

I don't like Suarez as a lone front man, he's not a good finisher.

That's right. Fee + salary have been agreed, but contracts haven't been signed and no medical has taken place. If Sigurdsson turns round and says he no longer wants to join Swansea, that's his prerogative, and he'll be free to talk to other clubs, providing they meet Hoffenheim's valuation.

Id like us to keep Shelvey and sell Spearing as he is not Liverpool standard and never will be imo!! So best for both sides if he moves on!

Was the fee agreed set in the loan conditions? Cause if it was, chances are, if we were to go in for him they'd probably up the price.

Don't think it was, and I'm sure he'll fancy the move here. Even if they up the price I'd like to think it wouldn't be any more than 10m. With Comolli gone I'm presuming Rodgers will be in charge of the transfer affairs, he seems a great deal more clued up, Comolli was utterly dreadful at 'bartering'...At 7 to 10m Gylfi would be an utter snip...he has the potential to be top class.

This is what i was thinking Art, it"s not down to gylfi and Hoff won"t let him go for the price they agreed with the Swans if they think we"re involved they"ll quadruple the price now.

All depends, if he has success related bonuses attached as part of his sale that Hoff insisted on then he has more chance of hitting them with us and would therefore earn Hoff extra cash.

Could we potentially loan Shelvey to Swansea as part of a sweetener for poached Sigurdsson?

It'd be helpful to let him play in a similar system to ours, while giving us goals and assists in midfield instantly.
