He'll be thinking "sh*t I'm out of here"??

Come on Aussie lad.. Get a grip.. The only thing he should have been thinking was "I shouldn't have gave a way a pen and got sent off"..
He's had to scrap for a new contract and got a tatt on his knuckles, Its very unlikey he'll be thinking that..;D

Mate, I'm hoping he's thinking like us. I want Agger to stay here until he retires but was just thinking to myself, that based on that performance from our lads, you can't blame him if he is thinking about a move away where Titles are far more realistic at this point in time.

Ill make no bones about saying it, if Barca, Bayern, PSG, Madrid came in for Agger now with a big money offer he'd be gone.

Same with Man City if the club accepted an offer, Agger would go.

He's loyal don't get me wrong, but if the club accepted an offer and he felt he wasn't wanted, he wouldn't dig his heels in.

Can see PSG coming in and offering silly money or a money + Sakho deal that'd be too hard to refuse just because their owner has money to blow and is trying to create a super-team.

Possibly, I still think stupid offers would be considered by the club.

Every player has a price, come back with an increased offer till then we will reject all the approaches made.

Of course they would HR, if a £30m bid came in tomorrow, Henry and Werner would fly in especially to empty his locker.

Agger do: Liverpool offer £80k/week deal to keep Man City target Daniel

Daniel Agger is ready to sign a lucrative new deal with Liverpool and snub Manchester City - despite his red card shocker.

Danish defender Agger is 'desperately close' to agreeing new terms with the Kop after weeks of speculation about his future at Anfield.

Agger will be given a bumper new deal - in the region of £80,000-a-week - as a reflection of the £25 million fee slapped on his head when City came calling and even Barcelona took an interest.

And Liverpool badly want Agger to put pen to paper immediately to give Brendan Rodgers a boost after a torrid opening defeat at West Brom where the centre-half's dismissal cost them dearly.

Rodgers could have done with the money from a sale to re-invest in two or three new faces, but Agger has been one of the team's better performers.

Liverpool had found it hard to get a potental replacement too, with an inquiry for Tottenham's Steven Caulker rebuffed Spurs are rejecting all inquiries for Caulker who is back at the club after loan spells but was surprisingly left out of the team at Newcastle.

@Richard_Buxton_ Agger said there was "no news" on contract & when asked if talks were underway, "no, I don't think so" (i.e. not yet)

Great to read that City seemed to have truned their attentions to David Luiz (fook knows why he's a bit of a liability) this morning and also Rodger's comments on Agger yesterday so it seems like this one is dying down a bit now.

Times reporting City will come in with an improved offer within the coming days.

Hate to say it but I think they will match the £27 mill asking price being banded about.

Contradicts Mancini's response in the latest interview.

"One player who Mancini does not believe will be joining City this summer is Liverpool's Daniel Agger.
When asked if there was still a chance Agger could sign, Mancini said: 'No, no, no. No chance.'"

All part of the brinkmanship AR...

I'd hope now though we will resist any offer, it's getting too late to find a replacement.

Would make no sense to sell right on the deadline.

The owners need a good kick in the balls if they sell him now , leaving it so late and risking not been able to replace him in time , and who would we replace him with ffs.
