      The first time in Liverpool
      Sep 30, 2012 03:08:31 pm
      First of all: Hello  xxxxx:action-smiley-065:

I've been a Liverpool supporter for many years now, although the game against Newcastle on 4 November will be first match at Anfield and quite frankly I CAN'T WAIT! ;)

There's two questions on mind that I hope you might be able to answer...

I've found this thread on here, but since it's fairly old, there might be more up to date info on Melwood. Of course I'd love to go there and maybe get a glimpse of the players. I heard some of them even stop on their way out of the facility for autographs and/or photos... Does anyone know the training days and times?

And second: Apart from Anfield and Melwood, are there any places that are worth a visit, espcially the ones concerning Liverpool? I'll be going there alone so there can't be enough to do for me in those few days (I'll arrive on Thursday and leave on Monday).

Well, thanks in advance and maybe I'll see some of you at Anfield :)

The 'Miss' part of your user name makes me want to help you out, the second part not so much.

Think players get to Melwood around 9.30 but the days will probably depend on games that week and whether they are travelling etc.

Quite easy to watch the training at Melwood though, lots of convenient gaps in the concrete perimeter walls of the complex.

There's the LFC Academy in Kirkby which you could have a nose at but apart from that I'd just enjoy the nightlife and restaurants in the City, Beatles tour and all that.

Don't take the second part too seriously ;) It's a left over from my days as a martial arts teacher, though I never really killed someone obviously :D

I think Friday should be a good day to go to Melwood, right?

I already booked a Beatles tour and think I'll be at Cavern Club at least on Friday. Kinda dig the singer/songwriter that's playing there.

The great thing about the Mersey ferry is that you can see the Wirral a bit closer, the brightside.

      ;D

Not that I'm from there or anything.

Ignore him, he is a bit thick. Try and stay away from the Wirral if you can.

When you see a picture of the Liverpool waterfront it is taken from a place called the Wirral. The place where your wallet is safe.

Ignore him, he is a bit thick. Try and stay away from the Wirral if you can.

Can't be as bad as Northern Ireland, I'd never move away from the Wirral like.

       ;)

And thick, I won't mention your spelling then ay, seen it first hand, Jesus, and you were copying.
