Was immense really impressed with his defensive game too.

He's a bit of a pit bull when he wants to be, a couple of those tackles I thought I was watching Mascherano....good for him, he "gets" it and may he long be a fixture in our midfield. Love the kid.

I was impressed with Coutinho from the first time he wore the LIVERPOOL RED and he keeps getting better with every game. He was definitely a bargain buy.

Wouldn't want to see him wasted on the left again. He's a completely different player in that midfield role. Hope to see him continue to mature there for many years to come.

He is but for the weekend game I think he should be on the left and leave midfield to Allen, Lucas and Stevie.

Along with Luis and Sterling Phil is our best attacking option of the players we have fit.

Agree, to be a top player you have to adapt. He should put in a shift, in any position. Was awesome vs City with some great pressing up the pitch. Can see him banging in a couple more before the seasons out.

Brilliant compilation of his season so far.  The lad has the talent and ability to be one of the very best in the world.  He just needs to get a bit more consistency about his game and he will become a world beater!!

Nah 'inho' as in Coutinho. He obviously just shares the 'in' with Sterling but we're all friends here, I'm sure he'll be happy to share.

I've been watching a few compilations of Philippe. When watching dodgy streams I miss some nuances, some streams make the players look like international soccer  on the commodore 64

He does things faster than the eye can register.
... Or sometimes I just forget the high level of touch, dribble, balance and passing skills this boy has, he does it effortlessly like a great guitar player- they make it look effortless.
I'm sure it's mostly natural born talent and tons of practice too. He's a True Brazilian like he's watched the past masters and still does his own thing. like a musician would learn: scales, riffs, licks and songs; then improvise on the theme.

Enough analogies for me, it's a habit.

We were fortunate when we got him, hope he has a top game today.

Not his day unfortunately when we needed him at his best to play the killer pass to get beyond the parked bus. Can't deny his effort like all the boys today it was just an off day.
