I've never felt so sorry or upset for a player not having a winners medal round his neck. He was a wise free signing but I don't think any of us believed he would put in world class performances. For me his greatest in a red shirt is still that herculean effort at the Bernabeu when he did two jobs (his own and Skrtel's). It's a rarity to see Ronaldo bettered by the opposition defender, let alone comprehensively bettered, but that's what Kolo did that night. His performance on Wednesday was the mark of a remarkable player and man in spite of everything that we did and they did for us to lose on Wednesday. Hero!
