Actually looks like Dempsey will be going to Seattle.  They are going to pay him $8 mill per year for 4 years.  That's more than the highest paid players in the NHL get.  Ridiculous money for an MLS team to be paying.

Maybe he can go back to his rapping career and duet with Ryan Babel

I can't believe Dempsey is back in MLS and still pretty much in his prime. Guaranteed $8m a year, or ~$154k/week! It's fantastic for the league, but not sure it's the best for the US national team for its captain to take a step down in his career.

Throw in that he now plays for Seattle and no doubt the league bent a sh*t-ton of its own rules regarding player allocation (no surprise to see favorable treatment given to Seattle), and it's like, "Good for league overall, but uggghhh."

I was quite shocked to see Clint come back to the MLS but I guess the money was too good to refuse though I think career wise maybe wasn't the best option

He could do a loan like Donovan did after MLS season is over. Probably frustrated at the lack of playing time at Tottenham but yea I'd have liked to see him stay in the EPL.
