I think he is massively over rated.
Believe he is a very good player at times but not to the level some believe.

Saying that though, his price doesn't seem too high and was it Norwich who were trying to do a deal for him and Alderwield for around 15Million?
Something similar or another team who came in.

For a combo deal i would be good with that for a figure below 20Million.

I just wonder whether this deal will be back on the agenda with todays developments.

Mediocre mid table team....no ambition...owners who have no ambition...an MD that could not negotiate a shag in a brothel...and certainly would not pay for one...

We are going nowhere fast. The top teams are away and over the hill and even if we discovered some ambition tomorrow it will take a long time to catch up.

Easy to bid for players if you've no intention of actual bidding a price that will secure a player.

If that was the case then I'd rather FSG were a bit more upfront about it instead of publicly chasing players we are simply not going to sign.

if we did bid it would of no doubt of been a loan deal knowing us

I don't think he's world class either right now, but I do think he'll probably eventually succeed. And I do think he'll make Tottenham stronger. He'll bring more creativity than Holtby or Sigurdsson does, and will improve their passing game.

Yer I agree hes not world class at the minute, but if he continues his progress and is around a good team of players I think he'll be a real world class player in say 2 seasons.

Yes. He created the most chances in the dutch league last season. The guy is clearly a talent.

Yah the more I look at the Alberto transfer the more of a head scratcher it becomes. Someone else asked the question as to whether Alberto was an upgrade on Suso and I must admit, at this moment in time I'm not sure that he is. You have to ask would Eriksen have offered more this season than Alberto for very little extra cash and again you have to wonder.
