So, who has watched him enough to be able to fully comment on his ability? I've never seen him play, never even heard of him. If we really are in for him, quite clever of Brendan.

Basically he is a very fast player , very technical similar to Coutinho and has a nice cross ...

When asked about Yarmolenko in today's press conference BR replied 'Havent heard of him' with a big smily grin.

He did the same thing when asked about Walcott in January. Nothing's in it really!

Is this one of the expected marquee signings we're waiting for?

Hope it happens but won't hold my breath.

I wouldn't say that ... will not be easy for us because we aren't in the european competitions but if we make a good proposal for him and convince him that we have a good project and next year we will be on EC could be possible .

But don't have high expectations .

      Just a question.

If we sign both Llori and Sakho combined for around 20m. Will we have any budget left for another attacker , let alone 19m for this guy?

I tend to believe Ben Smith here. Moses will be our attacker /Left sided goals scoring player

Think it will be this lad OR Moses on loan, and with us reportedly forking out money on Ilori and Sakho then I can see Moses on loan being the more likely of the two.

If we managed to ship Skrtel, bring ILlori, Sakho, moses and Yarmolenko that would be a highly successful transfer window imho

Know nothing about him, nor do I know how good he is. Maybe this is the wrong way to look at it but my Dad raised a good point. How many soviet based players have made it in Premiership? The likes of Arshavin (started well but I think attitude got the better of him) , Pavlyunchenko (mistreated in my opinion by Harry Redknapp) and Shevchenko (albeit towards the end of his career) have struggled to make it big in England. Does that not add to the gamble of signing the lad or is that a ridiculous suggestion? All for judging players individually but it's just at the beak of my mind.

Has to be a first to be successful, remember how people used to say that kind of thing about Brazilians in the late 80's (Mirandinha at Newcastle) & early 90's.  Don't get that question asked nowadays.  :)

Very good point. I was reluctant to make the claim, as I didn't want to be accused of some sort of stereotyping or a form of racism.

Your point was also a good one Semps.

If we did sign this guy he could well become a Ukranian Gilberto Silva.

Wasn't he the first Brazilian to really do well in English football?

What about Juninho? He was at Middlesborough for a short time and if memory serves me correct, he did okay. Silva was the most consistent though.

It's strange how these Russian/eastern block players don't do so well in the Orem, as they do ok on the international stage, not just Russian leagues.

The Man U winger who ended up at Everton was a good player a few years back. F*cked if I can remember his name tho.
