I dont know why we don't give Luis Alberto a bigger chance, last time he came on the field we gained control and composure and could manage to hold onto the ball a bit. Really needs to be given more of a look in these situations.

2-2. That was  a game we could have lost so MAIN thing is that we didn't loose it, and we were under a lot of pressure near the end. But we held out, credit to the lads again.  Few new starters tonight so they've had a taste. Taking it on it's merits on the night, will take the draw thanks very much. And stay top of the table.

If our tactic is to try and win games in the first half and then try defending for a full second half then all of us are going to be dead from high blood pressure within 3 months.

      :D

      So true mate.

Would have taken a draw beforehand but after watching the first half thought were on for a win.

That second half though was absolutely dire, the mentality was all wrong.

Brendan change your half time team talks, they're not doing the business at all. Especially after an international break you'd expect us to have much more energy than that and Henderson was easily man of the match, closely followed by Mignolet and Skrtel and that says it all.

Gerrard and Lucas v's Shelvey and Britton... that shouldn't look like that 2nd half did, so poor.

However, we're top of the league again and we'd have all taken that if asked after 4 games, but work to do, make no mistake.

I'd have bitten your arm off if you had offered me that before the season started.

Disappointing second half but hopefully BR will see why it was and work on that.

Desparately need to improve those second halves out. Hopefully when Luis is back banging them in we will be 2 or 3 up in the first half and wont be as cagey in the second

Looking at that we probably would have lost last year, we need to sharpen up in the second half

It's usually a case of the international break, breaking your stride I feel. We've always come back from an international break with a bit of a hangover. That's why I wasn't confident going into this.

Fair enough that, but still expected us to have a much better showing that second half, especially after our first half display.

These Jeckyll and Hyde performances though are hard to explain.

Massive credit to Jonjo coming out to the media, well in lad.

First to vote and its Hendo for me. Daniel been great, Mignolet too, but Hendo energy in the middle, fighting spirit, running like Kuyt used to. Great to see, so a "heart" vote there for me.

Jonjo £5m - influenced four goals. Aspas £7m - went missing.

Can't believe you're using two bloody awful mistakes to concede two goals as an argument to criticize a player that has been at the club for just a couple of months. "Influenced four goals", haha.

Sakho was poor, Aspas isn't cut out for the premiership. Happy not to loose the game in the end, I thought we looked tired in the second half. Think Toure will be back in defence against Southhampton.

If I am in charge of our finances, I'll write off our £7m valuation on Aspas in the books tonight.

2 in his own net though. Rather have a player that didn't cost us 2 goals a game.

Also, give Aspas a break, yeah he was shocking when he came on, and he's not pulled up any trees yet but he needs more time to adjust before we judge him.

agreed. everyone is slating aspas but he came on in a very difficult game when swansea were pressing on. he didn't have much help whenever he got the ball

Hope there's nothing serious with Coutinho. Can't wait for Suarez to come back as we missed the creative spark that he can provide. We are always going to have matches during the course of the season, the good thing is we didn't lose but drew it. Remember the two goals were gifted to us. Top of the league!!

From the little I've seen, Sakho looks like he has all the attributes to make a top defender but was a little lacking in terms of positioning and decision making. Hard to criticize him though, given it was only his first game and the fact he has trained so little with the other defenders. Signs of a good player but we'll have to wait and see. As someone said on twitter, his debut was better than Skrtel's.

1 game to go and Luis will be back. He could/would have made the difference tonight I think. Aspas, man oh man, he looks like a teenager lost between men..Eat amigo, eat!

Criticism of Aspas is well over the top. What he get? 25 minutes? He was hardly the only problem in that second half

The thing is though, he had the most of the ball out of attacking players and did absolutely nothing it.

There's settling in, there's adjustment, but when you have time and space with the ball and you throw it away when your team is under pressure there's no excuse.

hmmm Moses either but had a better game, Aspas has been with us for pre-season so it's not like he is a newbie to the system. I feel he needs to put some weight on, he is not as technical as couthino so he cant compensate with that. I'm not as kind as you maybe, but tough! He reminds me of Borini last year.

Why? You could have picked any LFc fan from the crowd and they would have put in a better shift, I've seen enough of him to see he's not good enough to play for Liverpool not nice but true and if you've anything to say to the contrary your obviously delusional!
