Pre Match: Crystal Palace v Liverpool Mon 5th May 20:00
      Apr 27, 2014 09:38:13 pm
Just wanna move on from today's result and concentrate on Palace away.

I would go with our best side and go for an early goal, as always, and make them change their game plan.

      Mignolet

      Johnson
      Skrtel
      Sakho
      Flanagan

      Allen
      Gerrard (c)
      Coutinho

      Sterling
      Sturridge
      Suarez

Subs: Jones; Agger, Toure; Lucas; Moses, Alberto; Aspas.

I think it will be a tough game as they are likely to play a 4-4-1-1 formation and play on the counter, but I don't think it will be anything like what we faced today.

Although it will be a tricky game I think we will win 3-0 with Suarez, Sturridge and Gerrard getting the goals.

      Elsewhere:

      Sat 17:30 - Everton v Man. City
      Sun 16:00 - Chelsea v Norwich

Apologies for putting this thread up so early but I, like many others just want to get today out of my head.

      WE GO AGAIN!

I've just realised - Regardless of how the last two games go I'm gonna have to change my username ;D any suggestions?

Great to see others are confident of a good performance too - Just shows the positivity we've all got.

so this is how it's gonna happen. we actually won't get to beat Palace. It ends 1-1 or 2-2, I'm not sure. BUT that is only two days after Everton has beaten City. then we go to the final week on points with chavs, and citeh one point each.  :aaliverpool2xt1:

I think we need an Everton/Citeh match thread, as we can all Om on Everton - seeing as our game is two days later.

I wouldn't know what to talk about in it, but it would be rinse and repeats of 'I hope Everton fvcking win today', 'come on Everton!' along with euphoric emotions if a result goes our way.

Our players have looked really sluggish and fatigued of late.

Anyone think we can get in contact with Victor Conte or those who worked with Lance Armstrong?

If we're to smash palace, our players will need to be on something. Maybe some blood transfusions, EPO, and synthetic testosterone. If it meant beating them 10-0...

Of course. We've just got to make sure that we raise our game against them!

If city somehow beat Everton, then we have to try and smash these lot to pieces. A big ask, I know, but it's our only option.

I can see us winning, but not 9-0

Pulis would dearly love to finish above Stoke the club that sacked him.
One point behind with two games to go.

      No underestimation there then.

If Man City beat Everton, we can very well expect them to win their two home games.

If so, then it's all goal difference.

Nothing to lose, I'd throw everything into attack. We need to win 6-0 in our next two games.

      -----------Mignolet---------------
      Johnson Skrtel Agger Flanagan
      ------------Gerrard---------------
      --Sterling -- Coutinho -- Moses--
      --------Suarez Sturridge---------

If Man City do not win, then I'd go for our usual line up.

Depending on other results we could go in to this game 3rd. Most pressurised game of the season without doubt

This is where men will stand up. We need to go for the throat from minute 1. We need to batter them we need 3 points.

                     Mignolet

                Skrtel Sakho Agger

      Johnson     Gerrard            Sterling

              Allen              Coutinho

             Suarez         Sturridge

      5 nil!!

Chelsea are going to finish on 84 points, Citeh will finish on 83 points, we need at least a win and a draw from our last two games. I don't believe we should throw our chances away by going for a cricket score. I would prefer that we get the win rather than risk losing the game and completely blowing our chance.

If Citeh manage to get the 3 wins they need it is tough but I can accept that. If Chelsea win the league with 84 points .... that is unacceptable.

                                     Mignolet

      Johnson          Skrtel        Agger         Flanagan

                             Allen    Gerrard

      Stirling                                            Coutinho

                         Sturridge    Suarez

Clean sheet and a 2-0 win

Not posted in a match thread since the Southampton game as I didn't want to jinx us. I don't take all the credit for our recent run of wins as I am sure Brendan and the lads also played some part, but I blame them for our loss to Chelsea..... I did MY part.

this time the pressure is on them to play first away to Everton what cannot happen is if Everton get a point we cannot F**k up the chance to win the league because that will be what is at stake

We're not going to win it on GD so it's all about getting the win after Everton get something off City on Saturday. There's a lot of time between the two games to think about it which isn't ideal but hopefully Brendan keeps the lads focused.

Mignolet; Johnson, Skrtel, Sakho, Flanagan; Gerrard, Allen, Coutinho; Sterling, Suarez, Sturridge.

Early goal and this will be easy. 3-0.

      Looking forward to this game.

To an extent the pressure's off the lads so we can get back to the devastating football that's demolished most of our opposition this season.

Let's play with freedom again and finish our away campaign with some style.
