Mobility is the key and pace it served us well last yr and although personel not same I still think its our best shot

Just read the speculation around the team selection. .. If that's true... wo this is gonna be some match for brendan. Migs deserves to be dropped but for Jones? Not sure. Markovic in for lambert is great. Could be a great striker from what I hear of his past.

Putting in  a unexpected team sheet could scupper their plan (a) and possibly plan (b),

May not be technical, but psychological for our keeper. He'd better be on his toes, take his work seriously, and step up.

I'm happy that it appears Brendan is about to go three at the back. I've been on about it a bit recently and think it'll give us a much better profile going forward. I wouldn't myself have dropped Mignolet though as I think he's been playing OK of late. Not only has he been OK, but rarely does a game go by when he doesn't make a really top drawer save. I'm not sure Jones is going to be much better generally and I'm fairly sure he isn't capable of making those goal saving stops. We've conceded two goals in our last four matches so I wouldn't have done that, but the three at the back is definitely a move I'm in favour of. Hopefully it works out as well as the "Gerrard as the holder and Lucas out of the team" idea of around this time last season.

The rest of the line-up , well who knows what we are going to get, just hope its not similar to that against basle
 this is the time to for all the players to stand up and be counted , I think its thier chance to show what they are capable of

Ought to be another positive of playing three centre halves if we do. We really ought to be able to get in about them further up the pitch.

I expect all the ground work to have been done at Melwood. Everyone knows what their roles are and executes to BR's game plan. No lost souls, no experimenting, and no mistakes.

Mignolet is sh*te but Jones starting is not a solution. He's by far a worse keeper than Mignolet is.

Mignolet can't catch a ball or kick it but he can save it.

Jones can't catch, can't kick and can't save anything that isn't right at him.

First time in my life I'm admitting i don't think we will beat them. Their attack is too good for our defence and our attack is pathetic to trouble even their defence. Praying for a miracle.

The alternative of playing Jones in this type of game wouldn't even be a consideration for me though, I was just wondering how it became a thing that dropping migs would be a good idea today.
No biggie, thought it'd be more about actually being able to score goals.
