Krisztián Németh (Olympiakos)

In the previous years lot of young hungarian players stopped improving after a promising start despite the potential. I'm hungarian, we desperately searching a capable striker to replace "air sanyi" (bundesliga 2 bench but he's the best striker on the national team oh my god  ) so if Nemeth can be just the half player his potential shows I'll be a very happy man

Just because other Hungarians have failed to progress, it doesn't mean Nemeth won't. He's at a world class club and will learn a great deal playing alongside the worlds best striker in training every day. I really believe Nemeth will become a great player.

Anybody else see a similarity between him and Torres?

I don't see it my-self, I often viewed Nemeth as a goal poacher type of striking as his best ability is his finishing which is something few young striker have. That is why he is so highly touted and hope that after a good season in Greece that he will be ready to play for Liverpool in 2010.

Nemeth came off injured at half time during Hungary's 3-2 semi final defeat to Ghana today.

Match for third place tomorrow.

Hungary tied the game with a penalty in the 90. min (foul against Nemeth) and Gulacsi saved every penalty in the shootout 3rd place for us, yay

Andras has looked pretty handy in the hole behind Nemeth this tournament. Abit rough at stages but looked good.

Gulacsi has been excellent in his penalty saving. Pepe working closely with him? Even though the first one last night was against the bar, he easily saved the other 3.

Nemeth won the penalty in the 90th minute to save the game. Missed his penalty in the shoot out but got to retake it as the keeper came off the line.

Reading some posts on an AEK forum, they seem to absolutely love Nemeth. Keep seeing posts like he's streets ahead of their other strikers. All saying that they hope they can somehow do a deal to keep him for another year.

He set up AEK's first goal tonight with a lovely touch from a ball that looked like a tough one to control.

hope nemeth can take a lot of experience on AEK.. so when he's back from his loan spend we have a good match for torres without need lot of money to buy a new striker..

i'd love to see nemeth become great player on liverpool..

unfortunately thats the kinda stuff which we're very unlikely to get to find out. I doubt it though it doesn't happen often as far as i can see, also seems a bit risky for AEK to take a player they know could be gone with one quick phone call.

Although, hopefully if we can shift some deadwood in January we could arrange something.

I never thought I'd check the results of the Greek league with as much regularity or desperation as I have since Nemeth went on loan, I'll come flat out and say it... it's becoming an obsession.

Sure I've heard of similar situations where the players origonal club are snowed under with injuries and he is recalled, there would surely be a proviso in the contract to cover this.

He definitely can't be recalled if there was money involved in the transaction. So if it was part of the deal for Kyrgiakos, then we can't get him back.

It could have been possible to out a recall clause in the contract, but i'm not sure if they did.

You can do whatever you want with him,cut his pony off,grow him a tail or make a mummy out of him but his footballing skills(or rather the lack of them) will give him away in a moment.

I don't know much of the deal with AEK but didn't they take two of our Hungarians, I know Nemeth is exceeding expectations but what's happening to Galacsi, AEK also took him on loan. The other Hungarian we have is Andreas Simon, he's in Spain with Cordoba CF, any news guys.
