Barcodes being on the defensive, I think we can afford to start 2 strikers again.. this time pair Benteke with Studge, with Firmino behind. We got a system working, so why not stick to it? We should be coping with Can's absence, Lucas anchoring as usual and Milner, Lallana acting as the 'runners'. Coutinho and Hendo to come from the bench again!

      Mignolet
      Clyne-Skrtel-Lovren-Moreno
      Lucas
      Milner-Lallana
      Firmino
      Studge-Benteke

Subs- Bogdan, Randall, Toure, Hendo, Ibe, Coutinho, Origi

Never been more confident heading in to this. Colloccini in defence means we will score a hat full if we play at half our capacity.

1-5 to us with a Benteke hat-trick. It is his turn the run the show.

I am pragmatic and don't think we can put in performance like Southampton every week.

      I say 2-1 to redmen.

Looks easy don't it 'Toon' away,?
Well it won't be. There are no easy games anymore,

We will of course still win, no worries, I think Jürgen will make some changes, I like how he surprises us all with his team selections, we can't predict his starting X1, and nor can any opposition manager, what a advantage, they won't know how to set up against us properly, in effect making them weaker and so far his teams and formation have done pretty well me thinks,
      I'd go with this.....

                             Mignolet
            Clyne.  Skirtle. Lovren  Moreno
                               Lucas
                  Milner.               Allen
             Firmino.                   Coutinho /Lallana
                             Sturridge

Bench ; Bogdan, Toure, Randall, Henderson, Ibe,  Lallana/Cou,  Origi

Not sure Jürgen will risk Coutinho just yet but if not Lallana would suffice, harsh on Benteke missing out but how can you totally drop Divock after his hat-trick,

The result could be anything from a scrappy 0-1 or another total annihilation,

      I'm going for a 0-3,

Looking forward to getting another 3 points at Newcastle, I am not expecting another 6 goals but we can beat them  and continue our climb up the league ladder. Go the Klopp REDS and do us proud again.

I would play the same team that played City and Allen in for Can.

The Big Guns can get a practice run in the second half as the game should be over  ;)

I often get Steve McLaren confused with the Ricky Tomlinson character. Football has a habit of kicking you in the nuts when you least expect it so I would be more than happy infact I would be over the friggin moon if we win 1-0.

Honestly, I couldn't care less whether it is a 6-1 or 1-0 scoreline in our favour. As long as we get the 3 points, that's what that really matters and we continue to close the gap at the top. On the other hand, I wouldn't want us to peak too early, grind out the results along the way and leave it to the final lap to sprint to the finishing line.

Mignolet, Clyne, Skrtel, Lovren, Moreno, Milner, Lucas, Allen, Coutinho, Firmino, Benteke.

Sturridge and Henderson to come off the bench and Can and Lallana given a rest.

Happy with a win not too worried about scoring 5 or 6, 3 points is all that matters.

Reluctant to ridicule Newcastle in case it jinxes us somehow( though having seen them play it would take ALL the powers of the mystical universe to go against us IMO).

Anyway, it's great we actually have some options with our squad now. Previously average/good players have stepped it up, and those that needed to do some proving are doing it under Jürgen. I trust the man to pick the right team!

And he's their best defender!!   :lmao:

The only players we need to be wary of are Sissoko and Wijnaldum. Keep those two quiet and they will struggle to get the ball out of their own half!!

Crazy isn't it. Seeing the line up v Southampton I honestly feared the worst.

      Shows what I know  :lmao:

Could play 11 eighteen year olds on Sun and Klopp will probably guide us to victory. Its amazing what a bit of confidence can do in football. I'm not going overboard or getting carried away but I expect us to put 3 or 4 past this pile of sh*te on Sunday.

Guard against any form of complacency, this should be another comfortable win for the Reds. After the great display on Wednesday, who would bet on anything else than an away win.
