      Quote from Beerbelly
The penalty was soft, and I think we had a few decisions go our way tonight which I'm not complaining about, so now we're into the next round of 16 and all is good.

PS. Our fans are f**king sh*te! Out sung ALL NIGHT long by a German contingent who no doubt rallied their troops on, ours sat their stuffing their face with prawn sandwiches! Disappointing that.

Thursday night, 6pm. That explains that. Atmosphere won't be a problem at the next home game.

Tbh, fair play to those who showed up. It's a completely alien time for English clubs to play home games in this or any competition. But the only other time we had to, we won 1-0 with a late goal to make the third round then as well.

The penalty was a penalty. He may not have known what he was doing, but it's a clear handball in the box. Penalty.

We play in Europe to play European sides, which we didn't get in the third round, so it's back to facing domestic sides with less successful European records. I certainly didn't want the first leg at home, but at least the home game is a 8pm ko, so a crumb of comfort there. But what it does prove is, the UEFA Cup is a great, wide open competition. If our next game doesn't make people take it seriously before the quarter finals, well nothing will.

Me I was too busy kicking f**k out of my seat and calling Kewell all the shithouses going!! Brother and another lad marched up and down steps screaming at people to get up and sing YNWA, to get behind the team, as my brother put it "they're a bunch of old cu*ts, no way they can keep that tempo up in the second half"
