First of all well done for reaching the next round of the Europa Cup. It was fully deserved as you were by far the best side over the two legs. Secondly, I'm more pleased that you won to shut a now increasingly large section of our fans singing chats that are totally despicable.

I just can't apologies enough  :(  what worries even more is that it only use the be a small section from both sets of fans chanting remarks that are certainly not warranted. However, it's now becoming a big problem with so called United fans. I even heard on sky sports news just before the match started a commentator was talking about the coming game and you heard a fan in the back ground shout M######. Something really needs to be done. This is no longer a minority by our fans and needs to be addressed and ban every tw*t that sings such nonsense. Seriously, I just can't enough words to say sorry.  :(

Best of luck in the next round and if there's any justice I hope you go on and win the cup to shut those scum fans off even more.

      Well said Keith.
Unfortunately while LFC challenge the myth that man u is the greatest team in the universe as we know it by way of winning 5 CL trophies as opposed to your 3, these mindless morons will not change their twisted mind set.
In addition while LVG like his predecessor, is unable to replicate what Ferguson took 26 years to accomplish in one season, those same morons will continue with their abuse of all things LFC; merely a side show to disguise the pile of sh*te you now contemplate which has a myriad of sources involving ownership issues, executive shuffling and placing Ferguson on a pedestal.

The downward spiral will continue while the above is not resolved.

UEFA are charging both Clubs for the actions of their fans. Not excusing any violence but if UEFA had done something about the chants and the Fellaini elbow last week, then maybe what happened last night could have been avoided.
I think many of us made the point last week that it gave people who wanted to behave like that, the green light to go ahead! UEFA another organisation not fit for purpose.

It was a breaking news report on Sky News, UEFA have apparently just released it. More details as and when.

UEFA have opened disciplinary proceedings against Manchester United and Liverpool following their Europa League match at Old Trafford on Thursday night.

The last-16 second-leg tie was marred by a number of incidents, including fighting in the crowd.

United are to be charged under safety regulations for having stairways blocked, for crowd disturbances and the throwing of objects.

Liverpool are to be charged with illicit chants, setting off fireworks, the throwing of objects and crowd disturbances.

The case will be dealt with by the UEFA Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body on 19 May.

There were scuffles in the crowd at the final whistle at Old Trafford after a Liverpool flag was unfurled in the home end with police intervening and escorting a small group of fans out of the upper tier of the East Stand.

Some Liverpool supporters made it into the home end at Old Trafford

Greater Manchester police made five arrests, two of them on suspicion of affray and one for lighting a flare.

A number of flares and smoke bombs were seen in the away end after Liverpool scored shortly before half-time.

Makes me laugh how charges only come out once we get involved. I guess it's what happens when you're the home team in Europe and you still expect the away fans to sell out the home side's part of the stadium.

Great result against a european minnow :) My motm was sakho by a mile. Clyne had a bit of a mare but he,s done well this season so can be excused an off day? Henderson? Why is he in the team? He,s been sh*te since he came back? All he seems to do is run around and imo makes very little contribution to the team? Shouldnt be on the team sheet never mind captain?

Don't know what he did to deserve to start every game. Over rated player, the "running man". Can't score from 6 yards. Klopp must be brave enough to remove those who aren't good enough. He needs to be brutal and hendo knows he could be on the shortlist of those to be shown the door. As many has said in this game, it is more difficult for him to miss than score.

Some Liverpool supporters made it into the home end at Old Trafford

      "Hello United Ticket Office"
"Hello my name is Smith, I live in Liverpool, I joined your membership scheme 3 days ago and I'd like a ticket for the Europa League game please"

Are they REALLY saying that nobody in the Manc ticket office figured out what was going off and thought it might not be a good idea?

Missed the first half of the game, second half was a hoot, Liverpool supporters were buoyant. Love the look pure dejection on the Utd faithful, Priceless… Almost as priceless as the scowl on Van Gaal’s face when the final whistle when…..

The only Negative for the night, and for me it was a big one, was Sturridge… Again he was poor on what I saw (second half only) and the look on his face when he was subbed…

I never wanted him at the club because I thought he was a very selfish and greedy player, but having to play with Suarez that change and he became a real asset to the club. With Suarez’s departure he seemed to have grown as a player and carried what he had learnt forward, and quickly became one of my favorite players. But since coming back from injury this time he has reverted back to that immature, selfish and greedy player that he was, except now there is an attitude with it

There is no doubt that a inform Daniel Sturridge, the Daniel Sturridge that played so well along side Luis Suarez, the Daniel Sturridge we all grew to love, Is a great asset to LFC. But the Daniel Sturridge I have seen over the pass couple of weeks, the Daniel Sturridge I saw last night, I believe that this Daniel Sturridge does not belong at LFC. If he was sold tomorrow I would lose no sleep at all over it

Then again Reid... this place would be coming down with whinging fucks if he went off giggling and smiling. Personally I like to see our players upset at being subbed but each to their own.

If we are being honest - Daniel, along with Jordan, is 'flavour of the month' amongst the type of fan who always harbour a weird 'need' to turn on their own... it'll be someone else soon enough.  8)

Twas, truly a thing of beauty.

When it went in I grabbed the missus around the neck and repeatedly said "he's don't it!" and smothered her with kisses, apparently whilst swinging her to and fro I hurt her neck so she'll remember it too.

      ;D

      Sorry love. ;)

He may be pisssed off at himself more than the alternative, that's what it always seems to me.
If he was sold, I wouldn't lose sleep either, I'd gain sleep actually  because he's always injured when we need him, so yeah.
I wouldn't sell him for a small fee though, I'd rather keep him.

      Moving on.

As an aside to that comment I was going to post a picture of a fat naked man sitting on a couch.

      Word of warning:

Why would you search that? Also what the hell would you expect to happen once you did? Whyyyy did you do it.

Yeah I take your point, but the way he has been playing recently, he looks like half the player he was, and he should not be surprised if he is subbed. Instead of having a face that would cruddle milk; he should be grateful, appluad the supporters and vow to himself to do better next time. As for Henderson, Guess you are classing me as one of those "type of fan who always harbour a weird 'need' to turn on their own"... No I am one of those "type of fan who always expect our players to achieve better an strive to improve thier game" But I guess that makes me kinda weird
