Did not click 'Submit Vote'. Sometimes I'd tell fate to f-off, but playing the cards bit closer this time.
Massive game, looking forward to it, feeling apprehensive have to admit, but hopeful too.
Need the high tempo, and ideally the early goal. Go at them hard right from the bell. I didn't think they were as good as I expected in the first match but was chattin to a lad today who generally knows his stuff and he thought Villareal looked dangerous enough going forward last leg, though I didn't really see that, but maybe I'm disrespecting them a wee bit, which is what I thought we shoulda done more of in last match actually.
Still, TCM
will I'm sure have the lads pumped. I defend BR pretty robustlymost of the time, but I don't think he'd have brought us this far in Europe. Can't say for sure obviously, that's just imo. Jürgen has been there, done that, it won't phase him, I expect he'll prep the guys right and will have us give as good as shot as can be given.
We can quibble over selection... and I'm sure we will. The big selection will be Sturridge to start or not. I'd still be of the opinion that you start you're best players in the big games. But he hasn't been. Likely tactical, possibly something else going on, who really knows. Either way, Jürgen will make the decision based on his years of experience.
Can't wait
BIGGEST game in a long while. Touching distance to a European Cup final. How brilliant would it be to go through to Basel and have that to look forward to, another big European night, it's in this club's blood, hopefully the first of many under our new manager.
