Well I do and so do the bookies.

Bookies mainly work on monies placed and not inside knowledge.

There would be rumours of stuff happening if it was..  like with Kieta locally but there is literally nothing locally

With everyone focused on Saints I say we throw a £80M bid at Levy for Toby.

Because they would want to sell us their best defender with no time to replace him?

Honestly, I think we should put in a bid for VVD.

Hope we do or rather we already have as it seems awfully quite.

And me, although the effort and passion that Emre, Gini and Hendo showed on Sunday pulled me back in a bit

True, although I expect that from highly paid pro's.

It seems to me that every transfer window is just a big F***ing circus these days.

Positive insider news on the VVD front; I've just stuck £50 on him staying at Soton so win/win for me  ;D

Right?  The other team can't score when they have to keep taking the ball out the back of their own net!

If you're that confident with insider news you'd have stuck £50,000 beg borrow or steal if you didn't have the money.

Hold tight, fellas. Don't lose your nerve.

I am very confident he's coming. I never gave up on Keita, and what a beautiful surprise that was!

So much talk in the past (insider scoop) that a deal had already been struck weeks ago, quietly.

One poster hit the nail on the head for me a few days ago: A defender, a solid premium defender, in the prime of his career, arguably the best in the EPL, wants out, and no one or hardly any clubs are bidding? Makes no sense other than it must be an open trade secret which is why you can hear a pin drop. Makes absolutely no sense as clubs all over Europe would be clamouring for his signature.

Every fibre of my being says it's done and they're just going through the motions for supporter appeasement etc.

If I'm wrong, I'll gladly eat humble pie cos the alternative is that we may have signed our next Hyypia, Hansen or Hughes!!!!!

       :lmao:

Let's just adopt the Cruyff way: " If they score 4, that's ok, we'll score 5"   When he had the original Dream Team at Barca.

I 100% agree with you, I think I said something very similar to what you are saying previously. If VVD is in the shop window and still available then where the hell are all the bids??

It must have been your post that I read last week, then cos it was perfectly analysed.

Players of that ilk when you cannot find rock solid quick and composed defenders, do not come around every 5 minutes. There should be bids flying around. If posters cite the fact that clubs may be put off by the expected price then I call bullshit on that cos when has that stopped clubs before?!

Bids should be flying around. He's ours, guys. Soothsayer, out..................... ...

It's time to go AWOL, call in sick and not show up for training if he really wants to join us.

Had to look at the thread topic there - was going to comment on Coutinho's antics.

If he's ours, then why hasn't he been lining up alongside Matip?  Why wait until deadline day to announce a deal that has been done this whole time?  Makes no sense....
