So what is he on now 350k a week? What do you guys think about this, knowing that VVD only makes 220k a week...

We can only afford one super contract.  That is one of the reason that Mane has to leave.  This leads to the replacement of Mane necessary, in Diaz.  I mentioned this when Diaz came in 6 months ago.

Delighted. It's a good thing for everyone, it seems: three year contract. Salah becomes our most paid player but only 4th in the league with his salary matching Sancho's. Yes Salah could get more but it shows he wants to stay here and accepts our decision not to break our salary structure. We're basically signing one of the best players of this generation.

I suspect we'll sell him in two years, when one of Jota, Nunez or Diaz will hopefully become an as important player as Salah or Mane has been for us.

Am sure Virgil will be delighted Mo is staying regardless of the contract. Forwards earn the biggest bucks, always have, always will. I’m sure he will get by on his 220k a week.

Normally what happens when a club breaks its pay structure the flood gates open and other greedy tw@ts jump on board. Sadly that’s the way it is now.

I know. Imagine evolving like Ronaldo - where you go from club to club, getting worse every year until eventually going back to your "first true love" and seeing a massive decrease in both individual and team quality.

Some saying Salah is on 350k a week
others saying the deal doesn't break the wage
structure but he's backed himself to score more
which on wage incentives will reach 350k.

Either way a great deal for club and player.
Takes any pressure of the likes of Nunez.

The timing of the deal is very important.
It doesn't happen without Mané, Minamino and Origi
leaving, and it's at a point where we don't have any
critical players with contracts expiring next year.

I had consoled myself with us only having a year left
of Mo in red, so for me this is great news.

Hopefully he gets some rest and kicks on next season.

Cannot see anything negative about this latest episode of the Salah story, the only detractors are our opponents and their defenders and goalies.

well if you are contributing weekly to it you have every right to be unhappy but if we have learned anything about FSG is that they look after finances so if he bangs in 50 goals this season they can pay whatever he wants

More dosh for Salah more goals for the team, one positive way to look at the extension of contract. Certainly fans will be glad things have been sorted out for the best .

Let’s see if Salah still playing at 37 first.  I don’t think for a second he will. Ronaldo a freak still playing to Premier league standards at his age. 

So I'm not sure if here (this thread) is the correct place to say it but this Julian Ward guy is pretty good so far ain't he? Brings over the line deals for Diaz, Nunez, Carvalho, Ramsay, sells Sadio and Minamino for pretty decent fees and ties Salah up for three-year extension.

It's beyond £350,000 per week.

We've just blown up our wage structure to make ourselves like City. Salah has been sulking since he was completely outdone and outshone by Mane, but gets a massive reward. Would have liked to see us stand up to him after his carry on, but nope, we've given him everything he wanted.
