We saw the good and the bad of Naby tonight. Stunning goal and some bright moments in the early stages but then culpable in the build up to the goals.

Was lax both times but people.do get dribbled past just unlucky both resulted in goals . He will always struggle in this system defensively not good enough needs to be AM as presses as good as anyone . Shame after a lovely goal again but think Klopp will again shift him to bench unless he plays with two DM behind him

Great goal and good to seee him put a run of games together (club & country).

However, he increasingly strikes me as a player we should start only against mid-lower teams and be on the bench for the big games.

Probably best run of form Naby has been on since he signed.

Had a few ropey moments first half, but so did others.

      All good.

Still he gets no extension if I am GM. He just does not bring enough to the table. Yes, his ball handling is bona fide, but he‘s slow and not a good tackler. He‘s basically what Shaq was. But there is still some time, who knows what a couple of healthy months and regular play time can do to him.

Not really though is he. For a 55mill player, I think people are well within their rights to expect more from him. Getting hooked away in Madrid at HT for 2 consecutive visits, not being trusted to play any part vs the Chavs and City, isn’t the best of signs from him, mixed in with the rest of his time at the club so far.

Scored a few boss goals for us and has had flashes of his ability but I think even he would be the first to admit he hasn’t lived up to what was expected of him so far.

Not a case of making him a scapegoat, it’s just how it is.

He’s still got time to prove his worth and deliver on that potential we saw in him but that time will soon run out, if he’s not nailed himself into the midfield as an important player by the end of the season, I’d hazard a guess and say he will probably be off because like Ox, the chances are running out, rapidly.

His biggest downfall is that defensively, he isn’t good enough and the way we play and what’s expected of the midfield, it makes things a lot harder for him. Against teams where we need to defend a lot, he’s not likely to get much game time and the only reason he would’ve started last night is because Jones and Thiago are out and Fab went straight to Spain so missed the preparations for the game. Again, an ominous sign for him unfortunately.

It’s a shame because I think the general feeling is that we all quite like him as a player and are really hoping he kicks on but it just doesn’t seem to happen.

“ So far this season, the Guinean international has tackled more players in the Premier League than any of his teammates, despite playing fewer minutes than each of Jordan Henderson, James Milner and Fabinho.”

F**k me. The man can't catch a break. The quality is undeniable, and theres a lot of it. But every time he seems to be going into some sort of cruising speed something has to happen. Dirty ridiculous haired Manc c**t pogba gave him no chance did he.

Get well soon Naby. I'm hoping its not too long but it just did not look good.

Simple fact is he needs to play further forward.  Best presser we have by a country mile behind the front 3 and have to play to his strengths.  You wouldn't ask Fab or Hendo to play further up the field why? Because they don't have the skillset

      100%.

Naby is clearly an AM and it looks like Jürgen is allowing him to play with much more licence to attack this season.

Our best midfield now is Fabinho/ Thiago or Hendo/ Keita.

I wonder how many people have seen Hendo's skills as a young man they are incredible he has the skill set to play further forward but his skill in reading games and managing the team on the pitch means his current position is his best. Naby has finally begun to show us what we wall expected from him and its great to see lets hope he is ready for the next games.

Jürgen saying he seems ok in the dressing room (but needs checked to be sure). His foot was off the ground when he was caught, which is the only thing stopped that being a leg breaker.

Shocking from Pogba, showed his true colours as a spoilt pr**k who couldn't take losing. Got a very easy ride from the pundits, amongst the general wailing about utd. Completely F***ing ignored it in fact.

Thought that was Naby's best performance as well up until that. Hopefully he is indeed ok.

Wouldn't argue with that. Did really well. And could be doing with him continuing to do that as the season goes on.

Looking at him carted off on a stretcher though, things seemed bad. But Jürgen then said he didn't look to bad in the dressing room [not the hospital] so fingers crossed.

F***ing Pogba, with his stupid F***ing hair, what a knobjockey. Deserved to go.

Sometimes injuries involving stretchers can be less than those that make own way off . Milners will be worst of two I reckon
