Time to get the Derby dissapointment out of the way and what better way than to tw*t Pardew.

Not sure what tactics Pardew will deplo but I imagine he will try to get Albion to play a bit of football unlike the dinosaur Pulis.

I wonder if Juergen might be tempted in trying Gomez in defence after Lovren with another error at the weekend but probably not.

Don't want to see Milner in midfield so if he is not playing LB then bench is the place for him.

Time to hit them hard and quick. Mistake to leave Bob out of the Derby so he should come back.

This would be my line up for this game & Bournemouth away.

Has to make a call on Lovren, but I fear that he won't. No more erratic subs either. If Mane is not doing it - sub him, and if it upsets him then that's to bad. Although I wouldn't be surprised to see Lallana in for Mane.

Pardew isn't a serious manager, if he was he would've walked out of Newcastle. He's an accumulator.

The way some people's attitude towards players is changed by one game or incident, in this case Mané is truly and utterly f**king pathetic

My attitude to Mane hasn't changed. If he has a bad game, then he gets knocked for it. Mane would be my first pick alongside Salah. I said Klopp might bring in Lallana for Mane. Mane rightly got stick over the "no pass incident". It was poor judgement. But I still support him and I would say all those who rounded on him still would have him in their starting line up.

Got ourselves in a situation where we need 6 points from the next two before the Arsenal game. With a 6 day rest coming after Bournemouth surely we can get through the next two without changing too much? I’d probably take Robertson out though, he hasn’t played much so tough to expect him to play three in a week.

The Mane drama is typical of people who want a scape goat. As usual, Lovren got stick. Mignolet too (what for is anyone's guess). Mane... well... how dare he go for glory when he had a better option?

Let's forget when Firmino did it, when Salah did it, all the times that Coutinho does it, and the legendary Suarez who was more selfish than anyone. But because we drew that game.. Mane is the target of the abuse. Yes, he should have passed the ball. He didn't. It will happen again with all of those guys, and it is not jealousy. It is football.

I think we'll be back to the same usual starting lineup. Can't see Klopp taking any risks here.

I think it's a toss up between Mane and Salah who will be rested.

Salah did look a bit leggy in the 2nd half but is such a goal threat at the moment.

Mane did look full of running but is not yet hitting the highs of last year.

      Rotation, rotation, rotation!

Who's on the chopping block from the squad and who's due a start? Expect Coutinho & Firmino to come back in to the side. I'd give Trent a go at right back again, and move Gomez in to CB.

Expecting Salah to get a rest this time around - and I'd say we're going to need him more for the two away games than this homer v West Brom.

Coutinho, Firmino, Emre Can, Wijnaldum in

      Salah, Solanke, Henderson, Milner out.

I'd give Trent a go at right back again, and move Gomez in to CB.

Be tempted myself but we can't really move Gomez to centre-back because then we have no backup at right back.  I think if Clyne hadn't been crocked this season Gomez probably would have been in there ages ago.

Mignolet will play, Gomez for me is our current best cb with matip out. A coutinho, Can, Gini midfield  I like as Gini works well as the between man for those 2. Can see salah on bench and having a front 3 of Manè, Ox and Firmino.

Get a goal or 2 early and we'll get a cricket score. Give them something to hang on to and we will be in for a long night.

All in my opinion of course ;D

Was going to say earlier that there is a bit of rivalry for the right wing position. Mane and Salah both prefer the right side I believe. Don't think Mane is jealous. Mane would be free to roam across the front line but mostly operate down the left and swop with Salah during the game.

May be the theory is Mane wanted to show he can finish off a run with a clean finish to show the boss he is "the man"...doubt it, just didn't look up and to score himself was being clinical ...unfortunately it slipped wide. Not winning didn't help his cause.

      Can

      Coutinho

      Mane

No wind up. I’ve grown tired of Migs and Lovren. It’s really sad.

Think Salah will start too with Mane missing out this time. Then against Bournemouth, Salah will likely rest with Mane coming in for him. Hopefully we'll see the four of them away at Arsenal.

Think we'll see a line-up similar to the one we saw against Spartak Moscow:

Gomez over Trent for this one considering their aerial threat. Trent can play against Bournemouth with Gomez coming back in for the game against the Gunners.

      Injury updates:

Matip is running again, but won't play against WBA.
Lallana has been back in full training with the rest of the group. Klopp looking to build up game fitness again.

Christ, the away dressing room has been given the greasy, sleazebag dirt full on this week what with Allardyce visiting on Sunday and Pardew tomorrow night. Hope the cleaners have a fire engine full of Domestos ready to detoxify that dressing room after final whistle tomorrow.

Salah has a lot more minutes in his legs then Mane...Mane sat out the Brighton match and played Spartak then the Blueshite.

Salah played Brighton, Spartak & Everton.

Expecting Mane/Firmino/AOC up top on this one.

No wind up. I’ve grown tired of Migs and Lovren. It’s really sad.

I was tired of them a year ago. Summer came and went.
Of the 5 stages of grief - denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance - maybe I've hit the last one :(

I'm not sure if I'll be pissed off or happy if we revert back to the Spartak starting eleven as it will just extend my confusion as to why we lined up the way we did in the derby..
It's West Bromwich Albion for Christ sake....even their name is a f**king joke !
Id've much rather we battered that shower of blue sh*te on Saturday then played Solanke up top tomorrow and rested the two Brazilians.
I'm not suggesting that for one minute I'd rather surrender two points against West Brom but it was the f**king derby at Anfield and the team selection didn't work and it pissed me off ! end of.

It better work tomorrow !..I wanna see a total annihilation of that slimy f**ker Pardew and his shithouse tactics.
None of this leading 1-0 sh*t with 20 minutes left and having Lovren to defend long shithouse balls upfield.

We don't wanna be going into Bournemouth and Arsenal away scratching for points..

and more importantly I don't wanna see our boss after the game arguing with Sky about some wanky decision which cost us the 3 points.

pre match rant over ! ;D

Salah apparently felt his hammy a bit on sunday hence the sub, scan showed nothing but probably won't start. Bobby and phil were apparently in the red zone so were rested v the blueshite

Following the cock up against the bitters, this game has become a bit more pressured. Have to go full strength (from who's fit) from the start, get it won, then rest who you need to. Park the bus second half if need be.

Surely Salah starts this one considering we took him off early on Sunday at 1-0? Should have played 90 at the weekend if he's getting a rest tomorrow.

He apparently went off early as a precaution for signs of a hamstring injury. I doubt he will play vs WBA.

      Gomez, Klavan, Lovren, Robbo
      Can, Gini, Ox
      Sturridge, Bobby, Phil

Is Sturridge injured? If not I think he gets the start in this, with Solanke having started Sunday.

Another Jürgen may do it is only rest one of Salah and Mane, and rest the other one vs. Bournemouth, with Ox starting both matches and Solanke and Sturridge neither. He will want a full strength side for Arsenal on the 23rd.

Sturridge is out apparently,  this talk of him wanting a loan move is ironic as he is now out again. Personally don't think we should get of anyone in jan unless a replacement comes in

Hope Klopp doesn't turned into a tinker man to carry on tinkering with a winning team. Hendo and Solanke, what did they bring us in the last game? Perhaps slowing down the game while hunky Solanke is too soft to take on the opposition defence.  Just bloody retain a winning team and don't be fanciful.

What is the "winning team"?!!  People are getting on their high horses about the rotation, but only when we don't win!  Does anyone know how many times the "Fab 4" have started in the 10 matches since the spurs defeat??!!!  Hazard a guess???

It's twice!  Only 2 matches have they started in a run of 7 wins and 3 draws.  They started in the win over Southampton and the draw against Seville.  So the 8 times we didn't start with them, we won 6 & drew 2.

Rotation or not, we weren't doing much better then 7 wins 3 draws in the last 10 games.  If someone had said to you after the Spurs hammering that we'd win 7 and draw 3 of the next 10 games, we'd have all been delighted, yet people are queuing up to slate Klopp every we don't win, losing their minds & blaming rotation!

Not sure its what I want but I expect to see:

      Migs
      TAA Klavan Lovren Rob
      Can Gini Phil
      Ox Bobby Mane

We can give out about rotation all we want but realistically if Mane wasn't selfish and Lovren had a brain, we comfortably win the Derby.

And we should be able to manage WBA with Salah on the bench if he is rested as I expect he will be.

I’d like four Gomez in defence. If possible. Even anyone can play in goal.

Me or my nan (anyone but Migs that’s how sick I feel)

      Gomez
      Gomez
      Gomez
      Gomez

      Can
      Gini
      Coutinho

      Mane
      Salah
      Firmino

No wind up. I’ve grown tired of Migs and Lovren. It’s really sad.

I think Migs and Lovren is a problem we're going to have to deal with until the end of the season now. But I feel your frustrations, they cannot play together.

I have never seen a more indecisive pair at the back for us, and this is one of the formulas that causes us problems regularly. (And if you don't believe me count how many times we're at the back messing around when one of them are out of the team).

Rest Salah and Mane. Play Coutinho on the left and play Chambo on the right. Bring Emre in to anchor the midfield and pair him with Henderson & Wijnaldum.

I predict a tough one tonight.

Moreno being injured is only a good thing for us.

Robertson's got something about him, a tenacity not felt since (dare I say it) Riise. I expect him to bag a few assists if he continues to play, maybe a few crosses might go in ;)

If we can't critisize, comment, highlight the wrongs then what's the point being here in this forum, if everything Klopp does cannot be critisized.  So, you seems to be of the opinion that the rotation does not affect the results. Don't tell me you are going to deny the fab 4 is a winning formula, are you???  Then our debate stops this very moment.

Going by your logic, tinkering the lineup doesn't affect the results, then we should be hammering the bitters with that line-up and why aren't we??? Pls enlighten. And who do I point the fault at if not the line-up? Blame it on the floodlights,  corner flag or even the poor tea lady???

Go on, go on and use the same lineup against bitters for this game and see what happens. I am looking at the lineup during matchday and performance of players on the pitch and the final score.  I don't buy those fancy computer analysis or looking back at previous scores. It means nothing, it has gone past us long ago.

Get a grip dude, start to recognise what is a winning formula. If you start to defend the undefendable then you'll soon be talking to yourself.

      Have a pleasant day ahead.

You say not to tinker with a "winning team".  My point is there hasn't been a winning team that won a bunch of matches on the trot, then got changed and lost.  The fab 4 have started twice and only won once in the past 10 matches, so they're not part of any sequence of winning results.  I would start all 4 if fit, obviously, but why blame rotation for the Everton result and not blame rotation for the Seville result?

Liverpool's winning formula in the last 10 matches (won 7/drawn 3) has been during a period of almost extreme rotation, so what is the winning formula you're talking about, as we're undefeated in 10 without it?!

TAA in at right back. It's tempting to put Gomez at CB but I'm pretty sure Klopp will stick with Lovren. Tough call - I'm not sure Gomez is quite ready for CB and it could set him back if he has a bad game.

Now that I've cooled down after the derby I'm feeling a bit more forgiving of Lovren for the pen. Bottom line it was a dive and the ref bought it. It's hard to say whether Lovren actually pushed at all or whether it was all down to a clever wee pushback from the striker. Still don't think Lovren is good enough for us right enough but I won't be too perplexed if Jürgen sticks with him for this one.

Gini and Can back in midfield. If Salah has a tight hamstring as Jürgen suggested then we have to rest him. We'll miss him, but better for one game than twenty.

Milner in at LB possibly. Robertson played pretty well on Sunday but he might be rested. Hendo rested. So -

                             Mig

      TAA    Lovren  Klavan   Milner/Robbo

                  Can      Gini

      Ox              Cou           Mane

                      Firmino

Hopefully see Lallana come off the bench at some point. I would probably swap Robertson and Milner early in the 2nd half as well.
