Just a little something to enjoy from 1977. So much has changed since then.

Do you know Kopite that was a great watch apart from you lot beating us lot 1-0     ;D So many memories coming back, I was just 17. You had one hell of a side. The state of your pitch was standard across the boards back then.
It was always nice to watch the first game on the season on a pristine  pitch. Do Liverpool still send players out to train unprivileged kids, great idea and never knew that happened.

The good old days, alas all but gone.

Thanks for putting that up, great watch - took me back.

Another who hadn't heard about the squad training unprivileged children, great touch. Doubt it happens now, mobile phones would probably lead to swamping unless the session was behind locked gates.

It used to happen down here in Bournemouth (moved here in '84), started teaching. We had players come to our school, once had  a session delivered by David Armstrong - ex Middlesborough, Southampton, B'mth and England - though I think that might have been post his playing career and he might have been earning badges or working as an outreach officer.

I can remember sagging off school and queuing up for miles for a ticket, can't remember what for, as most of the time you just paid in to get in the kop.....Happy days.

To all you embryo’s out there, did you notice that ‘Flares’ were around decades before the pyro version came about, KK in a fetching brown ensemble was in particular nauseating, but that was the trend back then, ‘Flares’, perms & tank tops were the rage, I was certainly a ‘Fashionista’ back then, I had the ‘Flares’ and a perm, thought I was some kind of gigollo, Shagged anything with a pulse, until one day I came crashing to the ground when me arl fella called me Poof, 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣…..

…..and if the the old bugger was still above ground now, he’d still call me it 😁 !!

      Thanks for the memories.
