Dire to get caught like that when 1 up with 4 minutes left.

      I LOVE IT!!!!

Brazil thought it was won  after Neymar goal.   Caught on the break when you're 4 minutes away from the WC Semis.  Inexcusable. Cocky bas**rds. Kept pressing for the glamour 2nd goal.

And hats off to Croatia ,again,  Never quit.  Knew they would win the shootout.

      Bye Bye Brazil

Bobby would have offered nothing to that team

Tell me you've never watched Bobby play without telling me you've never watched him play. He most certainly would have improved that team.

      Crikey!

That replay of Marquinhos' face when taking the penalty! He looks so intent, hits it, and then the dawning realisation that it's rebounded out back from the post. Then collapses to the floor. Hard luck for him but pure brilliant emotion and what footballs about.

Surprised to  see Brazil go out. I don't like Neymar but there's a massive sense of regret. I want them or another South American nation to win the tournament again, I'd like to see it won outside Europe again. Can't help but feel this was their best chance to win the tournament since 2002. I think this was more down to Croatia's ruggedness and determination than any failure on Brazil's part.

All of a sudden Croatia, who sleep walked their way through the tournament have all of a sudden woken up and become a force.

Don’t like Neymar myself, always spits his dummy out when things don’t go his way. Always been a cry baby and as such was crying again today.   ;D

I don't know who the lad was that came on for Richarlison but he was sh*te. Bobby would have been a better option than him.

I'm glad Bobby got a rest but yes not having him as an option does seem a bit daft.

I'm fed up of the whole cult of personality and deference that is paid to people like Neymar in Brazil and Ronaldo in Portugal to the point that anything and everything they do is tolerated and waved away (in cases of probable criminality)

It's genuinely pathetic seeing the Portuguese and Brazilians stoop to such pathetic Trump supporter like levels of infantilism.

Why was Neymar selected for the 5th? I hate this trend where a top taker is in at 5. Its nothing new though - Gerrard was going to be No 5 in Istanbul.

Fabinho should have come on and been a penalty taker, he never misses.

They've only beat Canada legit , two penalty shoot out wins and they are one game away from the final..but Modric is out of that one.

Sure, pretend I've never seen Bobby play if that helps you, but he's one of the worlds most overrated players. Didn't make the Brazil squad for good reason. Would he have made the difference today? No chance.

Just another VT of Messi being run by the BBC. If it's not him they'll gimp on about Maradona's performance against England in 86.

What an utter coward Neymar is. If anyone is overrated it's him. You score the goal to put your team ahead but bottle it on pens allowing a CB to step up.

Croatia are an awkward team to play against. I don't think they are as strong as 4 years ago but they can cause problems of you leave them in the game.

Who is that Croatian fella on here btw? Can't remember his name but he must be absolutely stoked. Their manager has done a really good job.

What is this referee? Reminds me of a ref they'd cast in a comedy movie based on football, kinda like the camp fella in the air command station in Airplane!

Goal was scored by the right wing back. Ake went to engage Messi and got beat which left a massive space which Blind couldn't get back to cover. Not much Virgil could have done.
