I’m glad other are seeing the diaz issue, he needs to start delivering. For example if we had mane today of old, he would have had at least a goal of not two imo

Without salah, we have no out and out scorer who is ruthless

Agree, he needs to do more

Another international break followed by a 1230 kick off

That needs changing and putting to bed , so maybe not a bad thing

Dom"s neck was connected to the ball ?

No he grabbed his shirt and was challenging but then went too far in the end by getting more aggressive

He didn’t grab his neck, he grabbed his shirt

Interesting that taking Trent off made us much worse defensively. Thought he did well against mitoma

He was challenging for the ball and pulling
He pulled Szoboslai back and, as a result, was able to put a half hearted effort in to get the ball. The pulling came first. If he didn’t, he wouldn’t have got near enough for a challenge and there was a goal-scoring opportunity. Mind boggling that you’re arguing this.

Pulling being the key word here.

It was the shirt PULL that was the foul. He did it because he couldn't reach the ball. VAR should've sent Taylor to the monitor to check the red card. Blatant 'mistake' yet again.

Instead of looking for blaming refs, I think it’s important to look at our weaknesses, how we conceded and what we could have done better. Unless what the ref did is obvious like last week. Don’t look for excuses on 50-50 situations

We’ve made a good start and got 4 winnable fixtures next with 3 at home

Onwards and upwards, we got battered here last season

We would have won today if vvd and Robertson made better decisions

That’s not our job mate, that’s Klopp and the coaches jobs. Of course we are going to discuss controversial decisions, particularly in light of what happened last week.

It's nailed on in law. There's no debate it's a red card. It's these absolute morons one job in life to study football and football law and know how to apply it albeit under a bit of pressure.

      Terrible they are. Just useless.

I said even as Mo scored the pen that had to be a red.

I think he’s made a slow start this season and has been wasteful with the chances he’s had this season

Well he F***ing scored last week to put us 1-0 up but the stats won't acknowledge that because of some freak in a var truck not paying attention to the game.

Let’s see what refs watch says. He’s impartial on officials and I know klopp watches it for our decisions

Either way, we shouldn’t be down ladies and gents. It’s a good start and if we can get the next 4 fixtures sorted, then a very good start

We are on a journey to the top again imo patients is required. We have improved from last season

We are not good enough defensively. We get too many goals, some of them just gross mistakes. Whatever it is Klopp cannot fix it.

Our forwards need to be more strategic than selfish. If you're not in the best position to score, pass the ball to a better placed player.

Got to agree. So many times Mo wasted a great position in the box by trying to beat the 2 or 3 defenders tight on him when a pull back or square pass wouldve let in someone else for a clear shot.  One 2nd half Diaz was running in from the left unmarked and iif Mo had passed it 5 yards… Goal.
Love Mo and his goals rescued a dire display, but he needs to get his head up!

I thought Mac was better 2nd half, seems to lack a burst of pace or maybe just slow thinking, but he played a bit more on the half turn and played some decent through balls, and Diaz did well everywhere but the last 3rd. Need him showing a bit more composure there.

Trent looked like a man coming back from injury, but as somebody said, he had Mitoma in his pocket while he was on.

Virgil. Seems to be setting tempo from the back now, and its too slow. He always seems undecided and takes ages. Brighton gave us a lesson in how to play out from the back today.

Szobo MotM for me. Looks a level above all of us.

Mac Allister should have done much much better for their goal, Gravenberch should have scored and Robertson should have cleared the free kick.

We took a point and move on. We just hope for City to draw.

Silly mistakes costing us again, didn't start well, get back into the game, take the lead, then throw the hard work away with silly defending.

A few mistakes cost us the points but it’s an evolving team that’s going to drop points and it’s a far better start than last year

The challenge for the penalty was potentially a red card but thought there was a defender near the line so can see why it wasn’t given

Certainly hadn’t plenty of chances to win it

Absolute state of this, conveniently ignoring the fact the ball bounced off his thigh.

Well every team plays out from the back to obviously avoid booting the ball into the air, with all the consequences of heading the ball. But we are crap at it. Nobody takes responsibility. Mac just watches, doesn't move off the ball to give the back 4 an option.

We have to move off the ball better all round to give options as we play out. It was a bad ball to Mac but he was just standing doing nothing. VVD only other option was to hoof it. Our goals were down to their crap defense. We dropped 2 points through poor play. It won't be the Spurs result that stops us, it will be the sloppy slow witted play of today that will cost us.
