AFC Liverpool drew 1-1 against Cheadle Town. I thought we had enough chances to win. Never mind. Onwards to Whitley Bay next saturday!

Would have gone today if I was feeling better. I saw the score. So much for the merits of a winter break!

It's 3rd, AFC Liverpool, against 4th, Wigan Robin Park. You could say it's our local derby. I reckon it will be a good game. Looking forward to it.

Liverpool couldn't afford any of our players. They are priceless to us.

Yesterday's game against Norton United was called off due to a frozen pitch. We travel to Atherton Collieries in Manchester next saturday. I'll be there. Any of you going?

      'Robins sign AFC Liverpool Striker
      Friday, January 28

Newtown Manager Andy Cale has added more firepower to his attack by signing free scoring AFC Liverpool striker Steve Jones.

The Liverpool club were formed in protest at gate price increases at Anfield and Jones has notched 15 goals so far in the Vodkat League Division One (formerly the North West Counties League).

Cale has beaten off stiff opposition to land the 23 year old striker with Kendall Town looking favourites to land his signature until Jones watched the Robins against Llanelli on Wednesday night.

He was impressed by what he saw and put pen to paper after the game and as long as international clearance is received will be in the squad against Airbus tomorrow.

"He is just the type of young player we are looking to recruit with a view to keeping Newtown in the Welsh Premier League and building for the future," said Cale.

Unfortunately we got beat 2-1 by Runcorn Town on wednesday night. AFC Liverpool also had two players sent off! Paddy O’Driscoll scoring our only goal.

Update. Since the Runcorn Town defeat there have been three games. Here are the results...

Oldham Boro, away, postponed due to a water-logged pitch.

Daisy Hill, away, postponed due to a water-logged pitch.

AFC Blackpool, home, postponed due to a water-logged pitch!

We are away to Daisy Hill on tuesday night. Hope it doesn't rain from now till wednesday.
