Gary Neville and his swimming pool
      May 30, 2008 09:16:01 pm
Sorry if this has been done but if it has not, well then  :lmao:

Manchester United footballer Gary Neville has fallen victim to two prankster builders who created a shrine to Liverpool FC under his swimming pool.
Liverpudlian brothers Brian and Gary Greer buried a Liverpool scarf and a copy of Kop, the club's fanzine, and a match programme, in a plastic tube when they worked on the England defender's pool.

"While we were there we created a Scouse time capsule under the pool and tiled over the top of it," Brian Greer told The @@@ newspaper.

"When his house is dug up in the future, archaeologists will see what a passion he had for the Red men."
The millionaire footballer has spent years renovating his 12-bedroom farmhouse near Bolton.

His dislike of Liverpool FC was only too evident when he celebrated a goal against them too enthusiastically by running the length of the pitch and was fined £5,000 by the Football Association.

Another story has it that angry Liverpool fans tried to overturn his car after spotting him stuck in match traffic in Salford Quays, a mile or so from Manchester United's Old Trafford grounds.

A Manchester United source told the S*n: "Gary is United through and through. He might not like the idea of swimming over a Liverpool shrine."

Another added: "He's aware of this. To say he is less than pleased is an understatement."

      Bloody fantastic.

Now the disappointing this is they told the paper that should not be named!!!! Why I ask? but the links are not from that rag of sh!te.  Mods delete post if needed

Cracking story.  Shame the F***ing rag got hold of it.  What a pair of pr**k Liverpool fans these must be.

But alas, it wouldn't surprise me if Neville got this excavated.  Of course, it could all be bullshit..?

      This is a classic story.

Well done to Brian and Gary Geer for leaving an LFC momento underneath the swimming pool of a dirty scummer.

It was Don, but I edited the bit about the S*n with @@@. I just don't get some people, I work in a Liverpool hospital and it astonishes me when I see people buying that rag, it really does.

Why doesn't anybody blame the newsagents for putting it on sale on Merseyside?

If there is no supply - there is no sale.

      Simple.

Can you imagine having a pool in your own garden and having to live with a manc time capsule under it ?  Sorry, it would have to be dug up! End of.

Apparently Gary is going to leave no stone unturned in his search for the offending LFC items.

When it says they 'told' the S*n it's often not directly and is probably a general story that one newsgroup has got a hold of and is being spread. They didn't necessarily tell the sh*te rag, it might just have been the first to run something on it, or at least I hope so.

Anyway, that is still a quality little prank, poor Gary Nev must feel pissed. :D :D

An even more amusing end to the story would be that he spends bucketloads of cash digging it up to get rid the items, only to find that they were talking sh*te  :lmao:

It's a good story, if true,  but, a shock to see a thread about gary neville in the Kop!

Not to mention that the 2 idiots who went to the worse paper in the country to sell this story shouldn't be allowed in here either..

Thanks to bring the story though redpuppy mate.

Would have been even funnier in about 10yrs, but it's heart warming to know the dastardly Neville has to swin over the Red men's time capsule every time he enters his pool....Nice one guys...

Should have painted some special stuff on the bottom of the pool so that at night it glows and says 'LIVERPOOL FC RULE!, UNTIED ARE sh*t AND I'M JEALOUS OF LFC!' surely you can get that sort of stuff in a joke shop ;)
